I lived in Manhattan a few years. New York's only fault is the weather.
Now, 10 years in LA and I still miss the City. The City offers so much.
I wonder now though if leaving LA for NY again is even possible after enjoying so much space in LA, and its weather. Hard to imagine living in a overpriced shoebox again. But there's the MOMA, the Met, Lincoln Center, Central Park, the Village and Upper West Side.
LA for all its amenities is a dumb town. There are pockets of cultured people in LA, here and there, but NYC has smart people everywhere and the women are a lot smarter.
In my 20s NYC was a blast. I'm looking at grad school there in my 30s. I wonder how different it will be--especially being a poor grad student there.
Anybody made the transition from LA to NY after having lived in NY once before?
