Memphis plays in a nothing conference and got beat by Tennessee.
Memphis always plays this way. They always win a lot of games and they always lose in the tourney when they shouldn't. They'll be out before the final 4.

Pearl did a great job in Milwaukee when he coached UW-Milwaukee.
I am not a fan of Tenn, but when all the teams I am rooting for get bounced, I will jump on their bandwagon just b/c I think Pearl is a class act.
Bo Ryan (Wisconsin) was at Plattville (D3) and I think he was supportive of UW-M, scheduling them to games etc. Both have done quite well at their DI schools taking teams that were not all that highly ranked up the pecking order, although they generally do it without the level of talent of the UCLA/UNC/... teams.
Good Bye Kentucky.
Marquette knocks Kentucky out of the tournament again.

Once again the Blue Nation weeps and cries for Tubby to come home, but he is a Gopher now.
Bring on Stanford and let's avenge Cornell's defeat.
Belmont Bruins?
Why does CBS just take off the USC Kansas St game and put Duke on? If I wanted to watch F***ing Duke, I would have turned the channel and watched it. The least they could do is switch the other channel Duke is on with the USC game. Idiot programming like this is why I hardly ever watch broadcast tv. I have 800 channels and can't even watch the game I had been watching the last hour and a half.
"tourney"

You can watch the Duke game for free on your computer.
http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/scoreboardGo down to the game and click "watch" a new window opens and you get the game live.

Why would I want to watch the Duke game on my computer when it is on TWO channels on my tv?
As for watching the game I was watching (KSU-USC), I would much rather be watching it on my 42 inch High def tv than my little computer monitor.
i misunderstood.
i thought they turned away from the game you wanted to another and you did not have it on your tv.

oh good call
Wow, Belmont shot themselves in the foot. What were they doing dicking around running down the clock?? They didn't run it down far enough to put pressure on Duke, but still ran it down far enough that THEY would be under pressure if Duke scored. Which they were. Granted they still had all those timeouts, but they didn't use their last one. Just stupid.
wvu vs duke
2 vs 15, down by 10 in the second half and played their asses off. should they have won? yes. but you sir can go f*ck yourself.

upset of the day. Winthrop over Washington state. Why?
They both play the same style of defense and offense and Winthrop has the emotion winning for Adams (a teammate) who died last year. Michael Jenkins will continue to be hot, 33 points in the Big South Championship game and in a rematch of teh opening round last year. Winthrop will beat Notre Dame again and make it to the sweet 16.
I am not kidding and watch out for Jenkins and McCullough Winthrop is ready
Too bad the game has 2 halves to it. 2nd half Wazzu outscores Winthrop 42 to 11. Holding a team (any team in the playoffs) to 11 points in a half is a decent defensive effort.
I do think ND will cause WSU more trouble because they have a bigger inside presence and other than Big Baynes, WSU doesn't have the big strong bodies to do that well against other big guys (last week against Stanford is a good example--Cougs were dominated inside and couldn't buy a rebound). Weaver is good but Lowe is streaky so the Cougs need him to be on his hot streak.
Even though I'm rooting for WSU, my bracket has ND for the win.
Can you wake us up when UCLA is in the last 5 minutes of the championship game. Until then, we here in L.A. are too busy with more important things to do, like surfing, hanging out at the beach, and enjoying the sun. Sure, we do that all year around, but it never gets boring. UCLA is going for their 12th B-Ball NC, the most in the NCAA. UCLA is going for their 100th NC, the most in the NCAA. UCLA is the greatest school in NCAA Athletics. UCLA is greatest school in the IAAF World Championships. UCLA is the greatest school in the Olympics. SO like I said, there is no need to wake us up until the last 5 minutes, if UCLA should be there, since we have so much else to do here in Los Angeles, the Track and Field, College Sports, and Pro Sports, Capitol of the World.

I do think either Conf-USA's Memphis or NC wins it all.

they are a weak #1 seed. They'll be lucky to get 3 wins.

Ahh blow off, you pissy little bastard. I was rooting for them, even though that completely screws my brackets (have Duke winning the whole thing in the letsrun group). The point is that they made a very poor decision in the last 45 seconds of the game. As they were dicking around with the ball around half-court I was literally shouting at the TV for them to make a drive, shot, whatever. They gain nothing from giving Duke ~20 seconds to score, whether they score or not (which they obviously didn't). I believe Duke even had a timeout left still. I'll say it again: they didn't run the clock down enough to pressure Duke, and they didn't leave enough time on to give them an unpressured (relatively) possession after Duke's possession. Yes they still had 2 timeouts, but this isn't football, timeouts can't save you like they can in football. They didn't even use the 2nd one for that matter.
Point is, they handed it over to Duke in the last minute. Give a team as good as Duke an opportunity to beat you in the last minute, and 9 times out of 10 they'll beat you. I was pulling for Belmont, but imo they f***ed up bigtime there. Don't take it so personal ya thin-skinned girl (but by all means, take my calling you a "pissy little bastard" and a "thin-skinned girl" as personally as you want)
Man, I was at the Belmont game, that was awesome. Those little guards made Paulus look bad. The only player Belmont couldn't account for was Henderson. At first it looked as if Duke was trying to win expending as little energy as possible, looked as if that plan was going to back-fire majorly for a while. For the first half the crowd was like, that's cool Belmont's hanging tough, sweet. But when they started making some of those runs in the second half, everybody in the arena who wasn't for Duke was against them. Great game though, made sitting through the final game hard, wore me out.
Dukes mascot by far was the most obnoxious, the West Virginia fans were easily the rudest and except for one Duke cheerleader who has some incredibly ripped abs, the Arizona cheerleaders were the hottest.
Yeah, right.
