I think people wear them more for the comfort than for the looks. Some prefer bodysuits and some prefer bunhuggers. They shouldn't feel the need to impress anyone or coverup anything as long as they feel fast and run fast!

what's wrong with big thighs, um you're a runner you should probably be used to women that are in shape.
Theres nothing like the feeling that I have when my girlfriend squeezes me between her big thighs. She's aserious runner and she has sexy bronze-tanned legs.
Some track athletes (especially in college) with big thighs should abstain from wearing speedos - they tend to accentuate well - your big thighs. I applaud Marion Jones for not wearing one.
uh, excuse me (PIG). women often HAVE To wear those, its their uniform. they are usually very self concious. why dont you and your comments create more eating disorders than there already are????
I'd like to see you wearing one. I give props to any one who wears one and can feel comfortable. I do thats for sure and I wouldn't let you tell me how fat my legs look
Freddy was totally nice about it. He is making a simple, justified and accurate observation. Its not like he said, "Damn you ever notice how these fatass chicks wear these little tiny speedos and they be lookin like fat ho's" He was nice about it so refrain from the name calling. Also, I dont know about the rest of the guys on here, but I make anything look gooooood. Maybe the girls gotta start logging more than 30 mpw and actually do sit ups and crank out 10 pushups b4 dropping to the floor.

hahahhahahhah, good one freddy.... \\\"i cant stand those fat-thighed honeys in those speedos!\\\"
Answer - Hey marython, here's the newsflash - if you or anyone else has an eating disorder then YOU are to blame and no one else, so why don't you stop putting the blame on someone else? I swear doesn't anyone take responsibility for their own actions anymore? What a weak individual you are. Too bad for you that you give someone's comment so much power as to alter your eating habits. That is sick and twisted. I advise you to seek counseling, and while you're at it, eat some breakfast. I have shown you all the light. "Move on".
Ahhh god bless arrogance
Whats wrong with big thighs? Only like amatiated little distance runners?
Marython- We need more female opinions on these boards. Unfortunately men are also pressured into being appealing. If they cannot impress you with their accomplishments or intelligence, they will try to control you. In my research of Kenya, I have seen several Kalenjin sub-tribes that do exactly that. They do not understand why their women want to marry into other sub-tribes.
Answer - At least it is better than cowering in front of the regrigerator wondering if I can eat more than 400 calories today and then blaming it on other people. That woman needs to look in the mirror and decide that she controls her actions and not anyone else. What a load of crap her post was. Again, I have lit the path. "Move on".
Answer - I don't even know how to respond to that other than to say "whaaaaaaat?"
I think you mean "emaciated" - I am a female runner, and my very first track coach (seventh grade) made sure that all of us young ladies could spell that after the first day of practice. Right after he told us we were a herd of disgusting, obese, corpulent heffers. Wait a minute- didn't the guys' coaches tell you the same thing?
What kind of dumbass are you? They are called bughuggers not speedos. The rest doesn't even deserve comment...
Sorry, I didn't mean this to become an eating disorder thread. However, I'd like to make clear that eating disorders are common among male runner as well as female runners and it is usually not always about vanity. Many types of eating disorders are actual phyisical disorders like diabetes, anemia, allergies that can cause you to have odd reactions to certain foods thus you end up avoiding foods in general.
My original comment about those "speedos" is still a valid observation. Most gals look fabulous in them if you have the correct body for it. However, some gals should really cover up their belly and their thighs.
By the way, I borrowed a butthugger from a girlfriend and took a picture of it for Marython. I have to say I look damn great probably better than some of you gals. Ok my name is Freddy Mercury risen from the dead. "I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike."
Perhaps he meant HEIFER. He called us obese corpulent etc bulls which isn't as bad as steers if you know what I mean.
Yes, emaciated is what I meant. Sorry to hear about your jerk of a coach. No, our coach braught us donuts for after practice.
