I did a 400 time trial yesterday at practice, and I ran a 58. Based on this, what can I run for a 5k on roads?

12:05, good luck!
I think it is great that you are running and running 1 time around the track is a great start. That time is very god and you show some promise, BUT the 5k is almost 13 times around. It would be very hard to keep such a fast pace up for that distance. Before you set your sights on going 5k (which is about 3 miles!) you should work up to running a full mile, then add on a little distance each time you go out.
Coolrunning.com has a "couch to 5k" program that you might want to try out, it can get you ready for a spring 5k.
Best of luck.
