Am coaching a young man that needs to run a 4:35 mile (not 1600) by May 20. What meets are there that offer this distance in the midwest/west? Checked Arcadia, but you need a 4:29.9 just to get in which sorta defeats the purpose.
Thanks.

Age? If he's a freshmen or sophomore he can run the rising star at arcadia
unfortunatley he is a Senior. Just started running (been doing so for less than 1 year). He is from a small country that is not big on distance running, ergo he has a chance for the U-18 national record in the mile ( the 1500 is sub 4, but mile is weak). Mostly a chance for him to do soemthing cool.
why does it have to be a mile? Can it just be a 1600 where you add 1.5 seconds to the end?
do not want to risk it. would rather run the mile and get the record then run the 1600 get the conversion and find out that it does not count.
Just enter him at a mark that will get him into the meet.
