So at our school we have a great cross country coach in the fall, having repeat mile workouts once a week during xc and long runs and such...and in the winter the school makes this coach run the sprinting program , and they give us some other coach for distance guy's (he doesn't know a thing)..all winter the 2 milers and milers train with the 600-1000 guys all together. The 2 milers feel really out of gas in our races due to what we think is the shorter interval workouts we are constantly given over the winter, no workout we have had this winter has had at least 1 mile incorporated in it, one we usally do is 8-4-8-8 really lame. So for the spring us "distance" guys are thinking about getting into that same rythym we were in during xc with repeat miles once a week. We ran faster in xc workouts then we are in our races indoor.
This is the third year this has happened, this year we have to change it. Sorry about the essay, any one have anythoughts on this??? thanks
