My name is Paul
I'm from Southern Florida
My 9th grade year (first year running) I ran a 5:08
Didn't run cross country had to work. Couldn't attend the meets.
Since August, I have been consistently running 50-60 miles per week.
MY QUESTION IS ---What exactly does a person have to do to run his very best mile?
I'm tired of being second/third/four/best@everything. I'm asking for help because I don't think our track coach has a clue.
Last track season we had one or two hard workouts per week. Always a hard 20-30 minute continuous run and the second run if we had it was always different. Something like
20X200 all out 5min rest between repeats.
100 200 300 400 500 600 500 400 300
again with 5min rest.
100 X 8 all out you guessed it 5min rest.
All other runs we were told to run @ 6:30 pace.
CAN ANYONE HELP????????
