yes they're out at home depot. just ask for 1/4 inch plywood and bring the insole from your last shoe. if you ask nice they'll cut it to fit. crazy glue will make it fit well.
Yay!
I don't know about shoes for '08 (it's just started) but for best of 2007, I vote for the Adidas Adizero Pro - I have gone through over half a dozen pairs, and still haven't tired of them. They remind me quite a bit of my previous long-time favorite, the line of New Balance shoes that (over the years) were named rc210, rc220, rc230, and rc240.
I just recently tried the Asics Landreths, and I thought they were magnificent. Too bad their discontinued now. But my favorite shoe of all time was the Asics Cumulus 8. I was disappointed with the 9, though.
Which Landreth's did you use? Yellow & White (II), or Red, White & Blue (III)? If it was the III's then I'm suprised that you liked them if you didn't like the Cumulus 9, since they both used the batch of crap SoLyte.
They just released the Landreth IV, and it is a very nice shoe, with a great ride. It is very similar to the Landreth II.
Has anyone used the Adizero Tempo? I tried them on & liked them alot.

They are a beefy, posted, much more built-up high-heeled "trainer" with a passing design resemblance to the Adizero Pro. "Running shoe built for the excessive over-pronator who requires a combination of cushioning and reinforced stability." - from the manufacturer.

How many miles are you getting out of them? They look similar to the RC DCs, which are pretty durable.
I get 250 really good miles, and then they become the "morning easy run" shoes for another 50 - 75 miles. Three weeks to a month a pair, but I really like them.
Yeah, the gel ds 13s are out. i have two pairs - i've never tried asics before but i really like these. i was running in the skylons but decided to try something new. i give them my thumbs up - a bit more heel padding than the skylons (maybe a bit heavier, too) but they feel quite good.
actully thats not true, they are out with the ladthre 4 now however certain stores cannot carry the model
Really like the Glycerin 5. Was a Nike guy for years, and could usually get 400-450 on the Pegasus. On my second pair of the Glycerin's, and I got 550 on my first pair. Good cushion, but still responsive. Doesn't feel like running on a big marshmallow like most high-end cushion shoes.

I bought a pair of Landreth 4s over a week ago and they suck. Solyte, re-formulated or whatever, sucks. The material would be better suited as filler for disposable diapers.
Anybody know the release date for the new Skylon. I hope they come out soon.
Hmmm..."turd blossom"...you are wrong. The Gel-Landreth is a fine shoe through several generations.
Here's some pics and descriptions of some of Nike's 08 trainers. Lots to drool over if you're a Nike fan.

And as far as the Vomero 2 goes, sure, it may have too much cushion for many of you now, but wait until you're 45! For, me it's a godsend.

Landreth I and II were fine shoes. Put many miles on both. Solyte has made it a different animal altogether. Have you run in the 4?
I thought not, palooka.
I have run in the Landreth IV, and am enjoying it. It's very similar to the II.
What it is that you don't like about the shoe? You can't just say "it sucks!". How can you tell anything about a shoe after only a week? They aren't even broken in yet.
the new skylon, and the other new nike models (victory, lunar, etc) come out 7/1. the new skylong is sick... i\'ve tried it on and the victory. the upper in the victory is their new flywire technology which makes it super light but super snug. hopefully nike can actually have some continuity with these models though.
Thanks for the pic's!

I don't like the midsole. The Landreths with the speva midsole, as I stated earlier, didn't suck. A week or more to break in shoes? That's a new one on me.
