Bob Kennedy?
I think many of the marathoners being talked about may actually stick around until 2009 in hopes of one last big payday.
How is it a cheap shot? It's exactly what happened with the pedophile scandal: cover it up for years and years and then act surprised when the truth comes out. Bernard Law was so complicit they had to ship him out of Boston so he woudn't be prosecuted.
Excuse me: "wouldn't".
Two top marathoners: Colleen De Reuck and Marla Runyan.
Andrew Rock. He didn't do much of anything last year. He went from a WC silver medalist in '05 to not even making the relay squad in the '07 WCs.

If you believe Lagat is on drugs then you are probly one of those who believe that he has been on them for some time. if so, explain why he has competed in two olympic games. I'm sure the people at Athens were testing. If they werent, my bad, but I would guess that they were
You realize that his EPO A test was positive so that basically means there is only a small chance that he wasn't doping. The B test means nothing because even when frozen EPO degrades. Just like when Marion Jones was on EPO her A test was positive and her B test was negative.
Andrew Rock is a stupid guess! He is only 25 and he had one off year, that means nothing! He was sick and injuried in the spring last year which cost him some of his training.
take your pick from:
Culpepper
Adam Gaucher
Brian Sell?????
Sell is NOT retiring. I guarantee he runs thru 2009.
Yeah, Sell has raised his profile, he'll go for at least one big post-Olympic payday

When did Lagat test positive??
Hate to say it, but Tim Broe will retire in 08. He just won't be able to make it back to the top.
I hope I'm wrong.

No doubt. What a shame too. He won the championships in 2005 with a 13:12! I realize we have quite a few in that range or faster now, but it's still a good time and showed promise. What's the guy been doing? I know he had his sesamoid removed a while back (two years?)... I don't even remember seeing his name in any results this year though.
Ed Moran says he will retire if he does not make the olympic team.
He moved out of Ann Arbor after all his injuries. He has no chance of making it back. He would first have to lose 30 pounds.
