Try this, found it on RunningAHEAD.com. When your done, they have an automated importer you can run after registering.

I found a workaround if you don't have a cookie on your machine that remembered your login information. I'm not sure how long they will work for - I assume Active will shut these backdoors pretty quickly to lock you into their site.
I just exported 5 years worth of data - glad it is still there. I had set coolrunning to remember my login information, so I did not need to specify my password and simply got my data by only specifying my username. However, once I cleared my cookies and tried to login using the approach mentioned I could no longer log in.
But, I found another workaround, it is a two step process that should work for any one who remembers their username and password.
In the URLs below, substitute USERNAME by your user name, and PASSWORD by the password you used on coolrunning.
First you have to go through the login process:
After the log in you will be redirected to the coolrunning home page, but now your login information has been remembered, and you can get to your old training log by going to:
http://www.coolrunning.com/cgi-bin/log/display.cgi?u=USERNAME
Then go to Tools and use the Download Your Running Log option to save your data (after saving this file, you can open it with excel).
Running2win, perhaps the best online running log out there, has this thing where you can transfer your entire coolrunning log over to it, i seriously recommend it

That's the thing... people don't want to even register with the new site - that's just signing up for Active's spam.
I've heard that you can email Active's chief shill and beg for her to email you your old log in xls format.
Luckily, I read the notices for the past several months and backed up the day before CR was shut down. Others should have heeded those warnings. But still: Active sucks donkey dick.
The Nikerunning log is actually very good, has all the relevant info and decent graphics
I have imported my coolrunning log into runningAhead and run2win, but the coolrunning log was much better. The week view with comments visible was great. Also, for the other two you have to go and type in a new route every time you run a new route. I am the type of person that often just runs off the watch and then will either just estimate my miles or map it for mileage.
Those are my two complaints:
1)you cannot see comments on a weekly view and
2)you cannot easily type in a random route.
ya i really enjoyed the format of the cool running log, the way you could flip through week by week and look at your running, and get your week month and year totals right there
I can understand the disappointment... However, running2win has most of those features all of you just mentioned. I guess they don't have a weekly view feature, but they do have one for daily views, and there is a message board where you can suggest improvements to the creators and they are always more than happy to add things that make the site better.
You can map your runs on the website, as well as save mapped runs and just straight up go to log a run and click a route- which then fills in the log with all of the information of that route.
Another pretty sweet thing about running2win (I don't know if coolrunning had it or any other logs) but it makes a bar graph of your runs and you can view them by month, week, or year. Plus you can look at graphs of your weekly mileage and monthly mileage. You can also look at graphs that compare your mileage to another user's mileage.
Plus you can log your mileage count on shoes, so you know exactly how many miles you have on each shoe, its totally sweet. Anyone who had a coolrunning log who wants to start looking for new online running logs, I will for sure answer your questions on running2win 'cause that's the only online log I've ever used.

1) You're right, I don't see the Notes section displayed anywhere, but that's not a deal breaker to me. It might even be added if you request it.
2) I hear you. I have a "random" course in my list that I use for that, then put in the Notes field where I ran.
Personally I don't care for the cool running log anymore, as a web developer it was very out of date. I hated the week by week view. I love the summary and workouts view on RunningAHEAD. Just my opinion though.

Try calendar view in RunningAHEAD? The summary page also shows the last 6 week's and 6 month's totals.
Can running2win let a coach set workouts for individuals and have feedback with the client on a daily basis like Coolrunning did
Llama Master. Your instructions worked like a charm, I was able to download my entire log. It's funny, I emailed coolrunning.com and they weren't able to help me with my log.
Thanks. I was kind of freaking out.
I've been able to get my CoolRunning log back as an Active Training log. It's bit different from the old one, and now includes a way to pre-load workouts. I wish it would allow for weekly as opposed to daily and monthly charting. It'll take some getting used to.
