Doing this again, friends???
I had the great pleasure of working with Joe Carnegie this past fall, but I quickly crashed, burned out and didn't have a fall season.
For the past 3months, I've been working on getting my miles up and focusing on different lactate threshold runs according to Daniels' adjusted tempo paces. I can now pump out 8milers slightly under 6min pace...nothing crazy... but this is one area in training that I completely was neglected in during my college season.
I'm currently in Daniels' phase 2 program (3rd week), and I'm going to be here for another month before moving on to phase 3.
I want to keep this thread alive for a number of reasons:
1. No coach...so advice will help greatly.
2. Motivation for others and myself.
3. I love sharing knowledge with other fellow runners with the same mind set of setting goals and reaching those goals through hard work and critique from other runners and coaches with perhaps more experience and knowledge.
Anyone want to join in and monitor each other's training through the next 4-6months??
