Interesting point. We hadn't even considered setting records or anything, but seeing as Ziggy didn't start until after 10am on Sunday, and finished a little before 5 on Saturday, that's under 151 hours. I'm sure it's been done faster, there are those rumors of the 100/100/100, but this thread has to be the most thorough documentation of the effort.
Roosa, congrats man. All of us from Lyndonville are very proud of you. You have truly earned it...
SPARTAN!

A 7:09 beer mile at age 69 is pretty damn impressive.
Who says youth is wasted on the young?
SO what's Ziggy up to now?
does it need to be said that this sort of achievement is of no great value?
bump for epicness.
How was it that this thread wasn't touched for over a year's time??
This is one of the greatest letsrun threads of all time. Couple of friends and I have planned to give this a shot after our eligibility is up.
God you suck Jonesy. I mean every single asinine, narcissistic, useless thing that you write on here just absolulutely sucks. I wish you would just go somewhere with no internet and quit bothering everyone with your stupid bs. I hate you.
this thread is awesome -- i just blew-off a morning of office work to read it. time well spent!
ziggy should be a character in the next judd apatow movie.
lollz i thank you for bumping this and allowing me to experience the epicness of what went on here a couple years ago
bumpdiggity
My favorite thread of all time. Everyone needs to read the entire thing at least once. Epic.
bump for bump's sake. epic feat.
I just sat here and read every page. Makes me miss college but it certainly made my day.
This thread inspired many a discussion on my undergradXC team. The year we graduated, a bunch of the guys lived together in Boulder. One guy who ran in HS but skied nordic undergrad thought about taking on the challenge, but, realizing that he couldn't handle 100 miles, instead tried to match the total: he did 50 miles and 150 beers in a week. Apparently he was just a massive shit show by the end.
I've now got $75 on being able to top his total (I've never been a high mileage guy, and I can drink pretty ok, so I'm thinking 80 miles and 121 beers).
Where is Ziggy at now? He at least deserves a Wikipedia page. Any Rochester people keep tabs on him? Get it...keep tabs?

Gotta agree here. It would seem that the beauty of the 100 and 100 is the symmetrical (and indeed aesthetic) beauty of the notion. 80 and 121 is pointless. I'm all for letting loose and having a good time, but really, why do you want to drink that much anyway? Tighten it up.
