hay bales on the course for the open runners. I guess they figured it would be too dangerous for us old guys.
This old guy is offended! I want to jump over hay bales too!

New Balance Boston....solid squad[/quote]
Yes, and a pleasant bunch. I appreciated their cheers at San Francisco last year.
Three Boston teams, BAA, and GBTC.

couple guys from ohio state running for reebok should make some noise.
I was actually thinking of the individuals. I may have missed some people, but there are no individuals that I recognize, with the exception of Joe Driscoll and Katy Trotter.
Aggies to won both mens and womens. That Rubio guy knows how to get his horses ready for the big one.
How about Jill Boaz? She finished 6th at worlds.

Are you referring to the Masters? Does Joe Rubio coach both the masters and open Aggies?
Yes, I believe that he does.
Team Indiana Elite will not touch Zap Fitness. Sorry but they just plain aren't as good.
are you kidding me? this race is ridiculous. I'm going to get BURIED. Charles Millioen, Schoolmester, Johnathon Pierce,
f*** me.
If in-form, Zach Sabatino from NYAC could contend for the title. This race has suddenly gotten quite competitive and loaded with lots of great runners. Should be nice.
Any Ohio locals,
What kind of shape is the course in right now? Is it going to be a mud fest next weekend?
50 today and rain...will get colder during the week and here is the latest forecast for Saturday....
Few Showers
High 44°F
Low 34°F
Precip. 30 %
should be wet, but not like D III CC Nationals when it rain nearly 5 inches the week before the race.
Wow, looking at the Entrants for this weekends race, There is over 450 runners WOW, It should be a very excitign race, if the course is muddy. So will this play a factor in those with leg speed? or will it endure the guys with Endurance?
Sorry i forgot to mention over 450 runners in just the open Race, is there any favorites? or with the conditions play a factor?
i actually ran at VOC when i ran at d3 nationals. you had better hope that the course is in no way the condition it was then. if not, be prepared for the worst conditions you've ever run in your life. also expect about to run about 2-2 1/2 mins slower for an 8k.
good luck to everyone this upcoming weekend.

Cincinnati got hit with a monsoon today...only hope of a dry course is if the ground freezes this week.
Here's the latest forecast:
Don't read too much into it, as it will change 400 times between now & then.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Des Linden: "The entire sport" has changed since she first started running Boston.
Matt Choi was drinking beer halfway through the Boston Marathon
