I'm not totally sure what you're getting at. Is it that Kuijken beat Felnagle by 29 seconds at the ACCs?
Yes, I was aware of that race, but that's part of my point. Felnagle ran better at regionals two weeks later, beat Emily Harrison pretty handily, and seems to be coming into her peak just in time for nationals. She's done this before. Also, Felnagle has won an NCAA title, which can be a confidence booster.
The thing I am speculating about is, can Kuijken continue her excellent running all the way to the national meet?
I don't know. She might be able to.
Felnagle beat Kuijken at nationals last year in XC, after Kuijken was beating her all season up until nationals. So I was speculating.
The big change is that Kuijken probably has a better coach this year, but I'm still wondering. It's a long time to be kicking ass, as Kuijken has been doing since before the Notre Dame Invite in September.
Also, Melissa Grelli does look good, as the previous poster noted. I can't help rooting for her.
