It's an issue for a lot of women, but don't sweat it. You're 5'5", yes that's short, but do you know how many attractive women there are in this world that are 5'5" and shorter?? Just find a shorter girl.

I thought I would throw my 2 cents in from a female perspective.
I've never had an issue dating guys that are shorter or weigh less than me. This is because I'm confident in my body. I have found however that with the guys that I've dated who are shorter and weigh less these issues come up, and that its the guy who always brings it up. One guy even had the gall to tell me I weigh too much (I'm 5'9.5" 130lbs).
I would say she's either insecure with her body, or she's afraid that either the height or the weight will become an issue.
Actually, you probably do need to lose some weight. My wife/girlfriend/hooker is 5'11" and 120.
Would you date a girl who is 6 inches shorter than you?
When I talk to my wife and her friends about this subject there's at least some opinion amongst them that the woman likes to feel "small" while being held...ie during sex or cuddling....and that this is hardwired into most women while the opposite is true with most men regarding women....they like to feel larger and stronger. Nothing you can "get over" for the most part.
There's a woman in my building who's very pretty, taller than I (I'm 5'10"), is not skinny but shapely, dresses beautifully and carries herself very femininely. The overall package is just to big for my taste. If I was single there is zero chance I'd want to date her. There's a guy near me who thinks she's the bomb....and to him she probably is since he's 6'5". Sounds perfectly normal to me.

Think we need some Flagpole advice. Surely his wife is taller than him.
Actually we are the same height pretty much exactly.
Dude, that is from SNL. And it still has me laughing...

so i'm 5'5", 130 lbs, and i'm talking to this chick who is 5'11". she's not emaciated-runner-thin, but she's in pretty good shape (read: she's HOT). anyway, she said that she could not date me because i weigh less than her. when i asked her if she had any OTHER reason to NOT date me, she said no! has anyone ever had this happen to them? how do i convince her that size isn't an issue?
Guy is usually expected to be bigger (or at the very least same size) as the girl. A six inch height difference is pretty spectacular. Reminds me of middle school when all the girls had had growth spurts and we hadn't. Unfortunately, if you ain't in middle school, it won't work.
Women claim size is not an issue, they want smart, sensitive funny etc.....
BS...in general they are all about taller, muscular guys. I have posted numerous threads on this.
I went from 6'1" 145 during my running life to about 185 lbs. Women found me way more attractive with the extra weight. Not even close.
I have lots of lady friends, sisters, coworkers, female relatives that said I looked way way better at the heavier weight.
Moral to the story is since you cant't gain height you need to date a shorter girl plus put some weight on once you are done with running.
My current lady is 5'2" 115lbs and tells me she "feels safe" with me. Whatever the fuk thsat means. She likes to cuddle and feel all small with me etc. Women are all about bigger dudes PERIOD
TC here buddy,
She's into you man, just playing hard to get. Here's what you do: next time your out, bring her to a furniture store, find the nearest couch, and jump up and down like a mad man. works every time...

Preferrably one that is wet
sorry, I couldn't help myself

Oh, you're referring to the SNL-Timberlake spoof song "___ in a Box." I'm referring to a well-known scene from the raunchy movie "Bachelor Party," in which a woman at a Chippendales club was served a "hot dog" by a waiter whose nickname was "Nick the Dick."
yep heres a clue wrote:

it sucks but it's true. i think when you hang around with runners all the time you get this skewed image of what a "normal" guy looks like, when as a matter of fact most girls who aren't runners (and some who are) like the idea of a bigger, mouscular guy. When i finshed college i was 6'2", 155 - 2 years later i've gained some muscle and am 175 - it's noticeably easier to pick up girls...

What exactly do you mean by "hooking up"?
we've made out a couple times, etc. and we spent the night together recently (no sex, but everything up to it)

You spent the night together but no sex? That's cute, you're her little buddy now (who will never have sex with her). She'll probably start dressing you up in doll clothes soon. Hope this helps!
Absolutely. Do you know how much fun that could be?? Any chick over 4"10 (well proportioned) is ok in my book. Look at Shakira, she's hot as balls and is about 4'10.

This is exactly right. I have a woman friend who is 6'2". Her husband is 6'4". She grew up feeling like a giant, and none of the boys wanted to date her even though she's very pretty. She said she likes how her husband makes her feel normal sized.
Now, regarding shorter women, I think I'd say the following even if I weren't short -- short women are better. Larger percentage of their bodies are of the naughty bit variety, and it's a shorter distance between them all. If I want a woman who is all legs, I'd date a giraffe.
I am 6' and have had women ranging from 5'0" model/gymnast to 6'2" model volleyball player. They were both great.
Now I am older so it's harder in some respects. I recently was with a woman who said "There is nothing sexier than confidence. Nothing."
So that's one of your tickets. Be a cocky little shit.
The guy who started this thread is a liar. We all know that trolls are taller than 5'5".
I'm 6'2 and about 163-170lbs. I have wide shoulders and some muscle mass on my arms and chest. it's funny how big and strong I look(especially with right kind of clothing), even though I really am not. girls really like guys with wide shoulders, narrow waists and well developed upper bodies.
these kind of hood shirts for example really make you look bigger:
sorry Napoleon but you're SOL
