okay then hayduke, so what you're admitting is that the NCAA does know where the money comes from as so truthfully stated by someone else? I'm not arguing with the fact that the NCAA is a dirty organization, I'm arguing with you saying it isn't. You have contradicted yourself man.
if not then they could say that what reggie did was enough against the rules, as in tyson's case, that his accomplishments should be wiped away from the team. As Tyson's points were taken away so should his, therefore USC doesn't win a national title ever (they only won one).
you're saying that the public wouldn't accept this and wouldn't think it's fair to take away their title. well who gives a damn what the public thinks is fair? there are plenty of guys on the arkansas team who have just been told that two of their rings no longer have merit, to these athletes the news is just as devastating as it would be to any player on a USC team.
Was the NCAA ruling fair, maybe so. a rule was broken and an athlete who played a significant role in two NCAA titles shouldn't have been on the track to contribute to those titles. The case is no different than a minor infraction by a USC football team though.
