Yeah, his logic in that piece was pretty flawed. He started off by saying that the tests are unreliable and don't catch everyone, but then tries to exonerate himself by saying that he never tested positive.
I saw pictures of him recently. It's like Barry Bonds in reverse.
So here is my problem with tests.
Samples must be taken and stored in very specific ways. Some drugs have to have both samples tested in quick turn around to enure they haven't broken down.
So Marion Jones is done on her A sample. She then calls for a B sample test, but delays the decision and thetes. At the time she's accused of delaying th etrests beyond 6 weeks knowing that EPO can't be detected or is unstable. That's the plot.
So along come Lance A and he's tested up the ying yang. Then 9 years later a sample is pulled out of cupboard in a french lab, where its stability has clearly been compromised, and they fiund traces of EPO.
So what is it really? Is it easy to detect or not?
And as far as MJ goes. He never doped. He's just a talented guy who worked his ass off. He was the best of his time, and doesn't hold any more records. He's no Flo Jo.
