And a huge pr. Coming into the season she had a 4:12ish pr, I believe. She's chopped a lot out of that this season and not bad for a 5000 running.

Okay, and to be more precise, she had a 4:11.27 coming into the season and pr'd earlier this year at pre with a time of 4:10.87. So she's just pr'd by a little over 5 seconds. Impressive.
Kara Goucher is proof that God loves us.
Coelacanth - Thanks! I'll be there cheering on Kara and the rest of the US athletes.
no, she's proof that God loves HER. God still hates us... especially YOU.
DAng. Twell just turned 18, and lowers her PB to 4:06 from 4:10. Watch out for her in '08.

There have been a number of great 3k's this year by the U.S. ladies...Flanagan, Rhines, Sikes, Kastor...it would be great to see that translate into more sub-15 5k's next year.
If you are going to bitch, then know what you are talking about Rhines, Flanagan and Kastor all ran under 15 and Goucher was focused on the 10k and will probably break 15 at her next meet. So I guess you should just get off Sikes ass, but even then she was a collegiate this year and all of what 3 collegiate ladies have ever cracked 15 so i guess she didn't do all that bad either.
Calm down...I am perfectly aware of the great times they have put up...I'm just hoping it translate into next year....aka the OLYMPIC YEAR in the OLYMPIC DISTANCE.
Some people need to pull the stick out of their butts.

Improve another 33 seconds and she will be passing Rupp!!
What a great year she has had!
Interesting that most of the posts saying that drugs could be the reason are deleated. Aren't athletes now days guilty until proven inocent?
Unless athletes take a stance saying that people can freeze their blood for a hundred years (if need be) so that testing can catch up with the cheats then something is wrong. Those who are inocent aren't afraid of drug testing today, tomorrow or having their samples tested in the future!

I'm sorry I don't blame God for my problems.

How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
