Well, I got onto the track today for a "welcome back" session as Coach referrred to it. After a good warmup, the plan was to try for 5 x 1K at the 3K pace I was using before the recent illness and injury. The first 3 went well, but the 4th one I fell of the pace and we bagged the last one. Still, I'm encouraged. I think the tough weather conditions may have contributed to the aborted training.
We'll see how I feel tomorrow. I'm optimistic and think I am about 85% of the way back. Time will tell.
