Hey does anyone know who all's going to be at the meet. From this thread I gather that Montana, Montana St. and Weber ST. will be there. Is anyone else going?

Minot State-who is ranked #1 in NAIA
Idaho State-who is rebuilding
And, Maybe some community college teams
SMMMMMMMOKING!!!!!!!!!
The Montana State men?s cross country team pulled off one of the biggest upsets in the early season as they defeated No. 9 Weber State at the University of Montana Invitational, Saturday morning on the UM Golf Course.
Montana State senior Lyle Weese won the men?s 8-kilometer race in a time of 24:51.8, while teammate Casey Jermyn finished on Weese?s heels in second place with a clocking of 24:53.3. The one-two MSU punch gave the Bobcats 25 points, followed by Weber State 36, Montana 84, Southern Utah 115, and Idaho State 124. In dual scoring, Montana State captured three victories over WSU, SUU and ISU.
MSU went 1,2, but what the UM results didn't show is that Murphy (MSU's third runner) fell hard on a gravel road, and still finished in only a couple seconds out of third.
Congradulations on the victory. I am curious though how hard you worked this week in preparation for the race. Did you cut back in order to run well, or did you train through the meet? An honest answer will help us better understand how good you guys really are, because Weber has a heck of a team. I know Weber had a tough race last weekend and could very possibly have been tired. So just curious.
To my understanding we did not cut down for this meet. I personally ran about 93 miles this week. I know that Lyle ran 89-90, and our fifth man Kevin Clary ran 90-95. Gibson our fourth man was 75 or so. If you are curious to what the team did check out runmontana.community.everyone.net that link is a message board and our training is posted. I understand that Weber raced tired but all in all everyone ran pretty well. If you compare this years times with last year they are quite faster. That has a lot to do with how it went out. I would like to say nice job to the Weber team and good luck at Pre-Nationals.
Casey
Thanks for the info. It sounds like you guys will have an excellent team this year. And from the looks of it you, Weber and BYU should all be pretty close at regionals. But hopefully all three can get into national and represent the mountain region well. Congrats once again on beating a tough Weber team.
To all who said that montana state could do no better than third in the Big sky. We sent a message that if you over look us you are going to get stomped. Go cats
Casey ... class act response!
I agree that that was a class response from Casey. You made it clear that you didn\'t train through the meet and that you ran better (everyone) this year than last year, showing that as tired as Weber may have been they still ran well. But you also showed respect for Weber\'s team. I like your style.
But the guy who posted under you (perhaps a teammate) should take some tips from you. His response wan\'t very classy and makes your program look bad.
It was probably Casey who posted under Casey. I'm saying you never know who is posting so one shouldn't draw conclusions. This is a message board, not a practice in ettiquite (sp)?
