i haven't looked up bob or mark's pbs, but woud 3'34 - 3'36 / 12'55 - 12'57 seem about right for their peak ability ( perfect pacing,etc) ?

the 3k looks pretty close to what he ran & i suggest he was ~ 3'35 shape on his peak 3k/5k day & had potential to run 27-flat off that if his 3k/5k training allowed him to run 10k "perfectly"
if you don't like these numbers, just ascribe them to
a n other kenyan
& then see if you are happy with them
