Baala's 28 years old... Not the same Baala, not as much raw speed.
Oh, and Baala ran his PR in '03
3:28 and 3:30 are quite different

it's interesting how there are a bunch of those 3:46s, then the gap to the one 3:44 and two 3:43s.
can any of you guys admit that today, Webb achieved something great and just enjoy the fact that he has achieved something no american has. Has the world leading 1500 and is a favorite to medal at the world champs?
No, you can't because you are all a bunch of jealous a-holes.
This is why I never post on here. i've never been a very tallented runner, but i've also never been jealous of the people who are. Like the rest of you.
Grow up, be happy for someone other than yourself.

Apparently you have missed the hordes of posters who have been pissing themselves over what Webb just did. Or did you somehow miss all those threads/posts?
Quit being so self-righteous and thinking you are the only one without a jealousy complex. Maybe you need to look in the mirror, chief.
And it's probably good you don't post on here, your spelling brings all of us down.
I don't care about spelling on an internet message board. I come on here randomly after big events and see what people are saying, for the most part it's negative, always. I just wanted to add my 2 cents.
Only ones that need to look in the mirror are you and your buddies on here who critisize Webb.
And I did miss the hordes of posts. I'm sorry that I dont have time to be on here as much as you.
and real quick, explain how it is self righteous to be happy for someone else?
I hate to say it, but you're right. "Metric Mile" and all that. But I expect Alan to climb several rungs up this ladder in the years ahead.

That's not the reason you're self righteous. It's how you get on here saying how you're the only one who is giving him the praise he deserves, while the "rest of us" are just finding ways to criticize him. That's not true at all. You're acting like ttc is on this.

Exactly. It's "me and my buddies." More like it's about 8 or 10 people, most of whom are just doing it to get a rise out of people like you. I've probably made 5,000 posts on this forum the last 5+ years, try to find one where I critisize (sic) Webb.
when did I say I was the only one?
I'm just curious, apparently I'm saying all these crazy things that I'm pretty sure I never said in my 2-3 post history on here.
congrats on the 5000 posts, you must be very proud, I know I am.

Ok, then show me when the following 12 guys ran a perfectly-paced, rabbited full mile race:
i don't know about those 12, but i do remember that roger bannister ran a perfectly paced rabbited full mile race to break the 4 minute barrier.

Of the people ahead of Webb on that list, it is my personal opinion that only--possibly--two of those runners were non-dopers.
Webb should feel very, very good about himself tonight.
I'm pretty sure most of the bashers are the guys right behind him...
I'll start with the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place guys at the Trials behind him...
and the 4th place guy in champs this year...
and a few of their gay lovers.
thats about 8-10 right there. Probably explains who the bashers are fairly well IMO, and the beating you tend to get as soon as you bash one of them.
Oh, and a mile is a mile and a 15, a 15. Just because they correalate doesn't mean jack shit.
Webb is the 8th fastest miler of ALL TIME. Look at the list. He's number 8.
I also find it odd how his 15 is inferior to his mile, which is very odd for most middle distance men.
He does run the mile about as frequently as he runs the 15, so that could explain this. However, taking the usual 1 second better 1500 converted performance, I would say Webb is capable of a 3:28 high-3.29 low this year adjusting for his peak fitness level, which he may not have found yet.
He is by far the favorite now for Osaka. With his nasty lil kick he has in the bag, he's going to be tough. Baala and Kaouch are going to be right there at the finish no matter what as well. Baala used his bashing in Paris to sharpen up, and Kaouch is always sharp. Webb will have a tough time beating them no matter what. It will take a 52 last 400 to win off a 1:59 800 split, or a 54 off a 1:56. Can Webb do that is the question.
Baala and Kaouch are kickers off a fast pace. And will Ramzi show up? If thats so, its very easy to either win it, or come in 4th or even 6th. Very small difference between those placings.
Please remove the pieces of drydung on the hair
between your teeth when you speak, as they make
your breath a wee bit bias.
Moreover, they accentuate your accent and
embellishes your intellect; (lets please run
within the boundaries of common sense puleeeze).
And, yah, Webb is better than most of those
guys and has proven it recently by ripping
their hearts out and serving it back to them
on a silva plata.
Goe find a chirch where you can marry some
hoe man; you've already said enough awwwyte;
and yer vermin is giving all a' us the itch.
So ram it where da sun don't shine can you.
Today, Alan Webb is the best Miler in the
World.
I am glad that you have the freedom, here, to state your personal opinion. This is the wonder and the privilege
we have here that you don't have. You have no idea who
Alan Webb is or how he lives; in fact, you have no idea
who any of the runners are that are on the list. You are
just a "hater person"; free and able to state your own opinion on this site. I am happy for you; I just hope you never come here with the haz waste you carry upon your medula oblongata; and upon your soul. The top athletes in a free country like America are scrutinized by the governing athletic bodies; because we must be clean before the world; and because we have the technology and resources, to keep our guys straight.
Your guys are as crooked as a Kansas City wood pile; because
you have not the will, money or savey, to help keep your
people on the straight and narrow; (and, admittedly, we as human beings have a propensity to back slide away from the path of truth.
Your opinion is really not worth the time I have spent teaching you about reality; but, "it is your opinion"!
And I respect that. I would only encourage you to base your
opinion on truth and research; rather than on pride and prejudice, hate and fear; as you have.
Alan Webb is as clean as any athlete in the world; and this is not personal opinion; it is legitimate and substantiated
AND documented TRUTH.
Take care and truth my friend.
You people on Letsrun are absolutly unbelievable. Honestly, how fast does Webb have to run before you stop bashing him?
Regardless of how fast anyone may or may not have run the 1500, it is a fact that in the history of T&F, only 7 human beings have covered a full mile faster than Alan Webb. He is the fastest american to cover a full mile in history. He is now a legitamate contender on the world stage, and when he lines up at the start, the Africans would be foolish not to take notice. He has given T&F distance fans in America something to get exctited about, and could be the one to finally bring distance running mainstream in America. Finally, he ran faster than I suspect all but a few people on this message board will ever run, while a high school sophmore.
I don't know dude...maybe we can talk about how he isn't even really one of the top 100 milers of all time until he has proven himself to be a 2:08 Marathoner.

Since when is stating that he's the 20th fastest 1500/mile guy of all-time considered bashing him? There's nothing negative about that statement unless you want to interprete it that way.
Have any of these other miling greats achieved their times in such a "contrived" event? Might Steve Scott not have run faster had he made a similiar effort with similar pace-setting where he wasn't just worried about winning, per se?
you guys, I'm telling you, its the guys he beats.
they're the ones bashing.
2-4th at the trials, and 4th at the champs.
and all of their gay lovers, watch what happens when I call them all by name, watch the pounding I will get. LMAO.
we all know who the Webb bashers are.
