Nope, a lot of top guys are staying off the track as much as possible. I'd say that it's working.

not really cause lets run is rank 33681 in the world.
and yahoo number 1.
http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?url=www.letsrun.comMark is doing a great job with flocasts and his interviews are getting better and better
whats great is that mark included the early comments. This kind of candid presentation is going to separate flotrack from the canned news sources. That one interview is worth an entire season of pre-processed crap that passes for journalism in our sport.
why dont' you send him a hero cookie.
Buster kills it.
Mottram is the man! Great personality, great runner and competitor. The sky is the limit for this guy!
He is a great runner, great personality, but the cussing in an interview is ridiculous. I've rarely heard even a stupid gangsta football player cuss in an interview on national tv. He wasn't caught up in the moment...
I can't help but think he does this intentionally. His flocast indoor interview, this one.
I guess I would have thought that was cool back in college.
It may well turn out that it will be hard to hear an interview from him in the future and I for one would really like to hear them..I am a big fan.
It's not cultural, or natural, or derivedf rom some tough personae...it's just embarrassing..Wish he would think while he is talking and I hope he keeps running GREAT!
I thought it was a great interview and there was nothing wrong with Buster's comments. The cussing was done during the "pre-interview". Mottram smilingly puts him in his place by asking him to introduce himself before shoving a microphone and camera in his face. There was obviously a history there and Craig jokingly set him straight.

Flo-track isn't national TV.
The worst thing he said on the NBC interview was 'balls'.
This is going to be the beginning of the end for african runner
I have to disagree about your issues with the cursing. It's nice to hear something that sounds legit and honest. Not the same ol' crap about thinking God and how lucky he is to be here, blah blah blah.
I like the idea of aggressive distance runners. Don't let the sprinters have all the fun.
Regarding Mottram's interview with Flocast, I don't think he was trying to "pawn" Mark as everyone seems to think. Yeah, he was giving Mark a hard time, but you could tell he was just trying to have some fun and I took it more as jabs to the peanut gallery on letsrun that made such a big deal of last week's interview.
Mottram is a bit of fresh air in a sport that needs it. And a big thank you to Flocast for providing great coverage of track.
jhr,
You're a fvcking pussy you stupid sonnavabitch. go stick it in your azz you fvcktard. God I hate self-righteous pricks like you.
hunh heh heh ungh heee hee hungh hum...he said 'balls'...hueheue heng ehe
There are also some cultural differences. Fvck isn't nearly as offensive in the UK/NZ/AUS as it is in the US.
After seeing the Buster interview, and comparing it to the other interviews and profiles with the American distance runners... I have to ask...
Are the Americans little whiny weenies?
"Whine whine whine, my pus*y hurts!"
Good Interview.
Pretty confident young lad
