8:55.0 (a top 10 National HS time most years)
8:45.6 (HS national leading time most years)
8:52.6 (3 HS All-American 2 miles in a row w/o stopping)
Oh, and a 60.3 last lap just to finish it off.
When I looked at that amazing time from this vantage point, it made it even more impressive. Wasn't too long ago he was in HS. I wish I had been fast enough to even stay with this pace for 2 miles of it during my career.
