Oh f***. Three bandwagons now and only two legs to straddle them!
Crap, make that four (sorry Teg). I guess it's a foot or a hand in each.
I cannot believe how ridiculously that race was. 22 guys broke the meet record, 15 go sub 28! Stanford was the place to be for anyone looking for a fast 10k. Sheesh. Truly incredible performances by Rupp and everyone else.
The meet records are off, I know a number of guys have run mid 27s at this meet.
Who are Torres and Carney coached by?
The Kid ran 13:37 in HS!!!! He is the real deal. A once in a lifetimer! Do you honestly believe that he was doping in high school?
action based on what? the opinions of a bunch of guys on letsrun? the court of public opinion is already damning enough, no we use it to actually take action? WOW!!!
I happen to believe that the guy who ran 13:37 to break gerry lindgren's high school 5K record might actually have a little talent or something. Then to train like a pro from the time you're 17 or 18...this shouldn't be too hard to believe. Great run!
I agree. But... wouldn't be the first time this has happened.
Still, a great time for a stump-town home boy... no credit to AlSal.
so if 99% of people think rupp was using drugs, that means he used drugs? this is a kid who ran 13:37 in high school, and you thin its unbelievable that he could run 27:33 almost 3 years later? let's see- ritzenhein ran 13:44 in high school and ran 27:38, and now you think a kid who ran 13:37 in high school needs to be drug tested after running 27:33? some of you people are rediculous. i have an idea- here's a better, more relevant idea for a poll: how many male US distance runners have tested positive for steroids, ever??? i would say that if there was an insurgance of doping distance runners in america right now, sure i'd be suspicious, but that isn't the case. rupp is just finally 99% healthy after a couple years of injuries. use logic.

I agree, 22 beat the meet record; if you go by what alot of haters say on this board then all of them must have doped...I guess when Lindgren ran the fast in high school-he doped as well as Pre if you go by that way of thinking. Rupp has been on the verge of breakthrough-he had a tough year last year. Congrats to all of the guys--great meet.
What did Floyd Landis(already) have to do.
Sorry folks...
This is about as legit as Superman over a blue screen.
And the new American Collegiate Record!
The All-time US list
You maintain your own U.S. performers spreadsheet, Malmo? Very nice!

Please take your conspiracy theories somewhere else.
Remember, just because you are paranoid doesn't mean that they are NOT out to get you!

Since Track and Field News can't do the heavy lifting, Letsrun has taken over the mantle of "Bible of the Sport."
11 of the top 20 times are from the 2000's(2000 - 2007). People always talk about how the 70's and 80's were great running years for America, but it looks like the 2000's may be the best.

The crazy thing is that some great runs by Torres, Moran and Carney will be completely missed in this monstrous run by Rupp!
Wanna bet?
James Carney and Ed Moran's performances are huge shockers to me. Moran just ran 13:19 at Mt.SAC a few weeks ago, and now this. He's really improving nicely. He could be a solid 13:10 5000m runner this summer and banging heads with Goucher, Tegenkamp and the like at USA Outdoors come June. Way to go America. I wonder what else Carney has in store for us.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
