Running 34 flat for 10K at the moment. Could probably do with losing some weight but I like food too much.

What did your old man tell you about living in glass houses?
Olive oil, that's very thin even for a runner, as I'm sure you know.
Gaining 10 lbs (+ weight training) would be good, if you can. All the best to you.
why is the only condescending response in terms of weight to the last female reply? lame. you know nothing about her situation, so i think you should dispense some more advice!!
Hey letsrunneuse . . . I agree that I am too thin even for a runner. I just started weight training. I am trying to get under 2:50 this year and I think 5-10 pounds of muscle might be the answer. I have always been too skinny and since I haven't been able to eay my way to a higher weight, I am adding some weight training!!
6'0

6'2.5" and 189 pounds.
But when I was a runner: 6'3" and 148.
Oh la la, boohiss, you got me wrong. As a thin runner myself, I know how it is...My post was similar to what I would say to a teammate. Weight training helped me to gain some much needed muscle mass and, I believe, gave me a healthier body. It's a forum, so I thought I could share my experience, that's all.
Olive Oil, woohoo, that's an exciting goal! No marathon for me this year, just short distances. Enjoy the training (gotta love those long runs ;)
