Is London on February 10th?
He's not running because he doesn't want to run for whatever reason. Why don't all you complaining line up and take his place and win? Or just shut up!

I heard that he pulled out because he didn't want his donkey dick dragging in the snow. When it melts and refreezes it can cause some serious chafing.
Why did you guys keep posting after this one. Once the real reason comes out, I think your supposed to stop making guesses.
You know that both Meb and Hall would be running it if it were in San Diego.
no meb, hall, fam, teg, cabada, webb, sell etc. this is turning into over glorified colorado alumni meet.
Just like the Super Bowl, everything about it is way overhyped and it'll definitely not be the best match-up of competitors. Is there a Lingerie XC Champs I could watch on PPV, instead?
Yeah, but is it the fault of the Colorado guys? I think not. For the guys you mentioned, I sense some fear in the Young Jedi and in the Master Jedi.
"Fear is your only God."
Meb: fear of injury in snowy conditions prepping for London
Hall: Ditto
Fam: No idea why Fam isn't here... injured?
Teg: Choosing to chase AR in 3000m
Webb: Hoping to be Teg to the punch
Cabada: Wanting to run WL 5000m
Sell: Sick and injured, focus on Boston
So, a snowy, altitude race is quite intimidating to some low-landers in nice climates. Plus, who really wants to race Goucher, Ritz, Torres, and Culpepper on their home course!!!? Are you serious?
Fam and Broe could be injured or coming back slowly for all we know. Webb is just a flake in general and never brings it when it matters. Cabada wouldn't be a contender. Teg? No idea there because this race could fit his plans for a fast early 3000. Meb and Hall? They should run this as preparation for London, the same way Bill Rodgers and Frank Shorter ran world cross right before big marathons, but times have changed where money is involved. Nope, no one puts loyalty to the flag before $$$ anymore.
Even so, you have two potentially low 13 5k guys in Ritz and Goucher, as well as the potential 10k record holder in Abdi, so it should be interesting. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Abdi running this actually for the chance to represent his country, seeing as how he is not a native son. He understands the significance of the event as stated in his interview.
Yeah because Meb, Hall, Teg and Sell train in such beautiful, sunny conditions at see level idiot. Last time I checked weather sucked where they trained. Boulder is not "tough".
Many years ago when Rodgers and Shorter ran it, World Cross involved travel only to Western Europe, not East Africa. Much easier trip.

Meb Keflezighi, After Illness, Choses To Skip USA Cross Country Championships in Boulder
Keflezighi's brother Merhawi's management firm released a statement saying, "Meb has been training in altitude in Mammoth for almost a month with a goal of running Cross Country Nationals. He has been up there away from his family, with a commitment to maximize his fitness. Meb had a pretty severe cold that reduced his ability to run intense workouts for a few days last week. This minor setback, combined with unpredictable race day conditions in Boulder, and Meb's focus on perfect preparation for the Flora London Marathon contributed to the decision to bypass the Cross Country Championships."
Sell: Sick and injured, focus on Boston."
Sell's not running a spring marathon this year.

Actually, Rodgers was third at world cross when it was in Morocco. Not East Africa, but Africa nonetheless.

You know that if the meet were being held somewhere like San Diego that Meb, Hall, Cabada, and a bunch of others would be in it.
They should hold it in conjunction with the Super Bowl. And have a celebrity division for David Spade and Ben Affleck to finally settle this thing once and for all.
Then you'd see some TV, baby.
Sell's running Boston?12k too long for Webb and Teg? That 10k last year set Webb back. From the pictures it didn't look like there were snowy conditions.

Some guy is saying Meb does not want to train in Snow. He trains in Mammoth, which recieved 650 inches of snow last year. I am pretty sure he doesn't mind racing in Boulder at 6,000 feet. The town of Mammoth Lakes is 8,500 feet above sea level.
