actually what I meant is that anyplace where everyone is wearing the same baseball hat, and listening to the same ac-dc song over and over. now I know outside of nyc that it is considered odd. Its clear that malmo gets all of his info on ny from movies, otherwise he would know that the andy warhol seen lasted about 15 minutes over 30 years ago. Whats next? He's gonna refer to how many nerotic jewish comedians live in manhattan?

It was Los Angeles uber-producer Don Simpson (read High Concept) who is commonly credited as being the progenitor of the all-black dress code in “the business,” not Andy Warhol. Annoying UK garage music is everywhere in NYC; restaurants, clubs, hotel lobbies, and elevators. You cannot even get away from that shit on the street, because on every block there’s a NYSC or an Equinox, and for some reason they feel that endless synthesized drum loops at 140 bpm is hypnotic honey to the ears. And those goofy eyeglasses. Yes, every day is Halloween in NYC.
hmm. dont care who invented it or where it came from. you were refering to nyc, garage music and all black. that makes me think of the velvet underground, and warhol. for some reason you think of garage(as in house) dance music and health clubs.... hmmm techno and gyms...... do i even have to say it? ok i will....that is so not straight.

Obviously 'nyc' doesn't live in NYC if he doesn't know the music of choice blaring in Manhattan gyms.
