This weekend, there was a 24 hour race in which Kouros averaged 8:22/mi. for 24 hours straight....according to the American Ultra website,
"Yiannis Kouros of Athens, Greece. Kouros, virtually unchallenged as the world's best all-day ultrarunner for almost 20 years, ran alone immediately from the start, never stopping, never walking, never faltering from a relentless, metronomic pace."
Now, I have NO desire to do anything like this...there's too much good stuff on the teevee to run all day. But I find it amazing. To run for 24 hours straight without breaking stride (what would Galloway say?!). Just curious what people on here thought about this. My guess...half the crowd will think ultra people are nuts/not athletes/etc. The other half will think differently. Opinions?
