Given that you can't tell a real performance (clean) from a fake one (drug enhanced) I put it to the board that pro-wrestling has more credibility than track in that it doesn't even pretend to be real.

OK. Not deep in thought or clever really, but OK.
I disagree that pro wrestling has more credibility than track. When people (of any age) engage in pro wrestling, they know from the get-go that it is a work, and not real. For example, if kids thought that it was "real" and imitated it, then you would see thousands of more youngsters in the hospital with injuries from various punches, kicks and powerbombs. Whereas, if you went to your local HS track and tried to say to kids running intervals that what they are doing isn't "real" they would look at you pretty funny.
Vipam,
WWF is no more. It is now WWE because WWF was and is the World Wildlife Federation, and they sued to get their name to themselves.
Wrestlers are frustrated runners.
Damn Right! Get the "F" Out!!
Bears XC,
Two things:
1) "Damn right" is appropriate at any time when responding to my posts, because my posts are ALWAYS right.
2) Your post was clever and funny, unlike adrian's original post.
A nice chunk of wrestlers have played college sports though, some excelling to the point of going pro see:
Goldberg (Bill)-pro football
Lex Luger-pro football/bodybuilding
Mark Henry-powerlifting
Kevin Nash/Diesel-played pro basketball in Europe
Rodman/Karl Malone/LT-pros
However, to the best of my knowledge there has been no distance runner or sprinter gimmick played yet, but I could be wrong.
