Powell vs. Sanchez video. It's terrible quality, but you can tell it's a good race.

Part 2:
Everyone is forgetting probably one of the greatest kicker's in history before his devastating Achilles injury, but Abraham Chebii in his magical season of closing in 23-point, regardless of pace. We saw hints of his brilliance last year or a couple of years ago at the Prefontaine Invitational in the 3K or 5K, I believe, won his first major race again with a final 24.-point final 200M to win. I will look for footage.
Haile Gebrselassie had no idea who this smart Kenyan guy was. But since the 4th of July 2003 he knows very well. That was the day when the Ethiopian superstar was beaten by Abraham Chebii. It was about 250 metres from the finish of the 5,000 m in the Paris Golden League Meeting when Haile Gebrselassie started his famous finishing kick. He probably thought that the race was as usual decided in his favour but suddenly someone came from behind and passed Gebrselassie with an astonishing kick. Abraham Chebii won the race. “I did not know him before. And I did not expect him to run so fast in the last part of the race”, Gebrselassie said. “I am happy to have taken the opportunity to beat Haile here in Paris. Because such a win is regarded as an outstanding achievement back in Kenya”, Abraham Chebii said.
A week later there was even more drama for the Ethiopians at the following week’s Golden League Meeting in Rome. This time Abraham Chebii not only beat Haile Gebrselassie but Kenenisa Bekele as well. So explosive was his kick that on this night not even Bekele could respond. There are only very few runners in the world who can claim to have beaten both the Ethiopian idols. Abraham Chebii could be the Kenyan answer to Haile Gebrselassie and Kenenisa Bekele. Click here to read more.

Yes, I know this is from Dyestat-land, but Merber's kick in the NON Emerging Elite mile is just insane.

Of course, I don't think anyone can ever compare to Billy Mill's 10k kick.

A tank who was a WR holder and first under 3:50 for a mile. That video is not him at his finest, of course.

Baumann's last 200 in that 5000 was faster than the last 200 in the 800 (in the same Games).
what a poor reaction. walked wlaked off the track at 1400m. WEAK. also, it sounded like the last name of the african representative was "morceli". wonder if it's any relation. also, is walker really 6'4"?
What makes this kick so gnarly is the crowd's reaction. People screaming, throwing paper, jumping onto the track. Must have been nuts to win that race.
