I ran 2040. Averaged over 2000 for 15 years. Am at around 33,000 miles for my life up to this point.

About 35 miles, but ran a 19:30 5K.
If I'd stayed healthy, I most likely would have run around 1200 miles this year, the first time over 1000 since my senior year in high school in 1978, when I put in over 2000. Unfortunately, my left IT Band flared up big-time in mid-October and I ended up hobbling to 882 miles, with very little actual running mileage in the last two months.
I was able to run 13 races: 1 half marathon, 1 8K, 1 4.2 mile, and 10 5Ks, with adult-age PRs in all distances, though that's not saying a whole lot... I missed 4 other races I'd registered for, due to the injury. I'm hoping for an eventually healthy and better 2007.
Stay healthy & strong, everyone, and Happy New Year!

I only completed about 1600 miles in 2006. Largely due to taking up road cycling more seriously (logged nearly 3000 miles on the bike in 2006). No PR's this year, but only a few seconds off my 5k/10k race times from 2005 throughout the year. I always said that I'd back off the miles and dedicate myself less when I turned 30... looks like that came true this year (turned 30 in March). Of course, the 3 young kids add to the challenge of getting out there.
Previous years:
2005 - 2300 miles running, 650 miles cycling (Marathon PR, post-collegiate 10k PR, off 1 month for Hernia surgery)
2004 - 3040 miles running (road 5k PR, 4 mile PR)
2003 - ~2900 miles running (Marathon PR)
2002 - 2864 miles running (15k PR, Half-Marathon PR)
2001 - 2258 miles running (first Marathon)
2000 - 1584 miles running
Ran 4200 miles and got some nice pr's at 10k and 15k, plus ran my first marathon at Chicago (but it sucked!)
2235 miles. Most miles in at least ten years!
2614
About 1475 with only 50 logged between my Oct. 1 PR marathon and Dec. 31 due to PF and pelvic pain. About a dozen races, though.
4.5 miles so far in '07.
I ran 2560 miles, 7 a day and 49 a week. I had 64 days off and so the averages for the 301 days I did run would be 8.5 a day and 59.5 a week. I raced 25 times total winning 8 times and finishing no worse than 9th OA in any race. As a 39 year old I had 2 seconds in my AG and otherwise won the AG or OA. Ran 9 races as a Masters runner and won 8. The one race I didn't win was Masters XC Nationals where I was 9th OA, 8th AG and first from the Southeast. Bests as a Master have come at only three distances:
5k-15:58
8k-26:53(XC)
10k-33:25(XC)
I am looking forward to 2007!
2200. Up from 1900 in 2005. PR's at 1mi, 4mi, 10K, 10mi, Half, Marathon.
1482, you got me by a mile "bmc...back" I'll get you in 2007 though.
1285
2575. 3rd most in a calendar year, but I've been over 2000 every year except one for 16 years or so. Got a marathon in. 42,000 sometime in Jan or Feb.
I’m a female age 23.
I got in a total of 3281 miles this year.. The year started off rough with sinus infections and hamstring problems. This is the most I’ve ran but the least I’ve actually paid attention to weekly totals - much more on performance and listening to my body. I don’t hesitate to take a day off every 2 weeks or so; and since the fall I’ve been able to place my complete trust in my new coach.
This is my 6th complete year running, and I’ve progressed from the following year totals in the past:
2005 2444 (dealing with a hip flexor injury in the winter)
2004 2540
2003 1980 (mono still affected me til May since I tried to come back too soon)
2002 2180 (mono starting in Oct)
2001 1944
I have raced a handful of indoor 3 and 5k’s , then steeple, 5k’s in outdoor (usually about 7 per season), then hit up some road races in the summer (after taking about a month break - less than 15 miles per week in late june to mid july).. Started running post college and ran about 6 races, most on the roads had a 2 minute PR in the 10k - considering it was my 3rd one- and 2 xc (one extremely muddy- but a PR effort). I had been averaging anywhere from 55-65 miles in college, but once I got a new training plan I easily adapted to hitting high 70-80s (some mid to upper 90 weeks) Before today I was thinking that I’m easily in the best shape of my life.. But reality hits and you get sick. Last night I had a fever; after sleeping 16 hours I’m feeling better. I’m an idiot and still got in 15 miles yesterday - too bad I didn’t hitch hike back half way - I could have saved myself a lot of hell - I felt like I just about died after that one.
I’m hoping to start up my indoor season in less than a week with a PRs in the 3k and mile (eventual sub 9:35, 4:50) .. Outdoor I’m excited to start the steeple again after a not so great finish at NCAAs. I doubt anyone cares, but its fun to see where you fit in on the running boards. :)
2,797 miles ran
3 races
around 1300 and a 3.52 1500m
3,210 with no miles in the month of January & February due to "tri" training. This is down from previous years of 3,700, but have a goal for 2007 of 4,000. Hopefully will remain healthy.
3050 miles, which was a new high for me and up from 1640 the year before. I was able to stay injury free almost the whole year, although some PF got to me towards the end and I am starting the new year very conservatively mileage-wise as I attempt to move to flats.
7 races this year, very pleased w/ my results.
3486 this year.
spent 8 weeks out injured
best race was a 30:22 road 10k
I don't know.
