The funny thing is that you guys think the NCAA cares. And paying back what he should have paid for (often to a charity) is pretty standard practice in the NCAA.
f*** you its my god damn t-shirt!
AHHHHHHH!!!!!!
It's all his parents fault. wrote:
You are wrong to make it the same thing. He received housing, training facilities, gear, etc. A phone card? I can buy them for 5$
The instances I'm referring to involved over $1,000. That was just an example. Other people have paid back similar amounts. This isn't worth arguing about. If you think Rupp is the first guy ever to pay back several thousand dollars, fine. You are wrong.

What instances? Name one please.....don't just make vague out of context statements. I gave reasons and things that he had to pay back, you can do the same. It is a debate...you cannot just pull things out of your crapper.

You asked for one. Kerry Kittles 1996 $3,000 in long distance calls.
Dwayne Jarrett had to repay over $5,000 to maintain his football eligibility this year.
Rhett Bomar and another Oklahoma player are having to repay approximately $7,500 and $8,000 to regain eligibility.
Rupp had a good race. It would seem it would be nice to see his progress, as he seems to be arriving at his prior peak. Assuming he is fresh, we may see that breakthrough to the 27 something range. He is young and if he keeps plugging away, he could be competitive in a year or so.
I hope he is enjoying the process. I know he works hard. Seems as though he and those around him want him to succeed. It would be nice to see the negativity lift from the perceptions of those who gripe continuously on the boards.
How productive is it? Rupp is doing a good job and he works hard. From what I know, I hear he’s a good kid, so why give him a hard time?
To be clear, Oregon is on the quarter system and finals were Dec 4-8.
