Hey y'all! People have been complaining about non-running-related content on this board lately, so I figured I would start a thread in which people could bash each other annonymously, but within the confines of running-related subject matter.
My question is this: what is the hardest workout you've ever done?
Mine was a hill workout I did in 11th grade. I did it with a teammate, and we mutually despised each other. We designed the workout together (our coach was AWOL), so we basically did hill repeats for 40 minutes straight, on a hill that I thought (at the time) to be really tough. It was probably a 600-700 meters, and it was a sharp incline followed by a milder, but still steady incline. My teammate was pissed at me because I was beating him in races, and I didn't want him to ever beat me again, so we were hammering every repeat. I broke him about 4/5 of the way through the workout, but I kept hammering because I wanted to crush him. I puked 3 or 4 times, but I did it in the woods so he wouldn't see. I could barely walk at the end of it. I did a 800 meter cooldown and I probably ran it in 10 minutes. I pissed blood that night. I thought I was so hardcore, but I ran like crap for about a month afterwards.
Anyway, that's my toughest workout. How about all you guys? Let's see what you're made of!
