Boise State is the only team that deserves to play Ohio State. Difficulty of schedule means nothing to me. Anyone with one loss should NEVER play for a National Championship. The entire season is one big tournament, if you lose you should go home. Michigan and Florida each lost. SORRY, better luck again next year. The problem arises when you have more than 2 teams that end the season undefeated. There appears to be no problem this year. 2 undefeated teams, let them play.
Boise State is a fine team, but they do not deserve to play for the title. By your logic, if a team loses in it's first week, they might as well pack it in for the season. Nowhere in any other sport is it "one big tournament". If there was a vote on whether there should be a post-season tournament, then I would eagerly vote yes. And I would also invite Boise State to that tournament.
For me, the winner of a Florida/OSU game would be the sole champion in my mind. If OSU played Michigan and won, then it would be clear that it was an irrelevant game. If Michigan was to win by less than two scores, then I would say that the series was tied, and would still give the nod to OSU as Big Ten champ until Michigan could gain a lead in the series.
Boise State? C'mon, man. There's got to be a Division II school that could go undefeated in the WAC. Hell, even the name of the conference sounds like a joke.
