Minnesota's True Frosh did run. He fell over at 6k and dropped out of the race. I actually turned aroundand saw Solinsky lying down on the last hill. I really dont think he tripped, it was more that he was running so hard he just ran himself into the ground. Not taking anything away from his run, he ran tough but maybe overdid it? Either way an awesome race to watch and props to Rombough for winning.
on a side note about Torchia dropping out. He really didnt choose to drop out of the race, i saw two people dragging him off the course. I saw him running later and Solinsky and they both looked alright

Just how big is Solinsky? (Physically)
something like 6-1, 165 or 170. Not huge, but bigger than the average NCAA favorite.
It sounds like a few competitors ran themselves into the ground in this race. Perhaps they misjudged the difficulty of the IU XC course. For those who haven't been there, it is a wavy, up-and-down thing with far more short, sharp hills than, say, Terre Haute. It will be interesting to see how Solinsky and the others bounce back at Regionals.
I would be surprised if Solinsky raced Regionals. There is a chance that he will run them like Bairu did last year, just scoring sufficient points for the team that they qualify well.

I posted this on an individual thread but no one seems to be responding. I was curious if Rombough and Eagon broke Bloomington course record or where those times ranked all time on that particular course.
I know that that course is one of the toughest ones out there, I remember when prenats were there a few year's back and that no one was under 24. I was curious to know if Rombough and Eagon broke the course record there today because those have got to be some of the fastest times ever run on that course I would think.
And what happened to Barrett from Minn? The guy was like 25th at Griak, out of nowhere. Is he hurt?
Solinksy was on pass to run a 23;40 or so, he didn't panic when he fell and just fisnhed it up to get the W... What about Withrow though, first race cobwebs?
was it another ashmatic incident like in Austin, TX or was it a trip over a twig or his own leg type of thing?
no they missed the record by a little bit, the record is 23:03 run by a pretty decent hoosier runner of the early 90s.
That was a different course. Have you seen the course, not even Kennedy could have run 23:03 on it. I don't know if anyone has ever broken 24 on the same course that they ran on yesterday. I believe that Steve Fein won one prenationals race in 24:07 one year and Jorge Torres won in 24:20 or something I think.

Bobby K?
Minnesota's Barret is hurt. I looked at jim drews invite and he didnt run. Although i talked to someone at minnesota and they said he is gonna run soon. Possibly regionals
Minnesota had impressive depth (as did Michigan State) and having one other good runner would have edged them toward 2nd.

I don't think Withrow can hang with the big boys. Not able to handle the training, always a little dinged up. Probably talented enough to sneak into the top 20, but will it be enough for Wisco to win?
actually it was the same course, he won ncaas on that course that year as well, but didnt run fast because he won by 40 seconds or so.
So was Solisnky sick or he did trip?
Still wondering what the actual course record on that specific course is?

Both.
