Need some help with weights. Trying to tone upper arms and only have access to free weights. Is it best to do high repetitions with low weights or the opposite?
My opinion: Distance and mid-distance, do 2 to 3 sets of 8-10 reps. In other words, pick a weight such that the above are as much as you can do. I've seen several coaches use the above criteria, and it worked for me back when I had time to lift.
