For best past runner, my vote is Platt from Edinboro.

One could argue that Weiss has done the least with his talents. Considering how awesome he was out of high school, his times are relatively pedestrian. If he had gone to a school with people to push him in every workout...and that had a coach with experience coaching someone at his level who knows what could have been.
I would also argue Clark is doing the most with the least talent. Don't get me wrong anyone running at his level has a lot of talent. But he was never projected to run his times...he achieved his success through extreme hard work and dedication.
I'm not so sure about Weiss. Pesdestrian is pretty harsh. He's got people to push him there. Reagan? C'mon, the guy is DAMN good.
I'll tell ya what...I saw Clark run that 5k, and he's got some balls. He made a HUGE move pretty early, got eaten up right away, and still came back. I mean, he was getting passed left and right, and still had a surge to come back strong. At the national level, that's friggin impressive.
What about Blood? I mean, he was great in high school, certainly in college, but that 8k championship...sweetness. Not sure how he trains (like how you were saying with Clark: extreme hard work), but something is working. Who coaches Blood now? Still Russel?
Actually the best would probably be the Boro's Carl Leonard 3:46 1500, 13:45 5000(after graduating) and the PSAC's only 1500/5000/10000 winner in one meet. He's fat PE teacher now, though...
Carney would be but he doesn't count he wasn't in the PSAC long enough.
sorry about the carney thing I forgat the question but leonard is pretty close...but come to think of it Platt is a lazy bastard
Carney was in the PSAC for 4 years, ran 3 of them, I believe he college PR's are in a millersville jersey. I'd say he would be eligible and would be on my list. Leonard is a good mention, he also ran the 4x400 that day.
your right about carney as he ran 3 years at millersville and made the most improvement under that program. He did grad work at PS and ran slower than his PRs at the ville. Spence, Carney and Muggelton my top 3, but Rauber is a close 4th!
90 percent of you douchebags from the PSACs under achieve because you spend too much time being cool and not enough time working on getting better. The only major team exception being edinboro.
Also nice to see slippery rock track team in the news for being a bunch of fags and drinking on a their trip to california. (HEY, lets be cool and drink and post the pictures on facebook!, thatl make us cooler!)

Best Edinboro runner ever?
Yi Minh Wu?
Best to nothing
Two Time PSAC Steeple Champ Chris Trill. National qualifier, and So much talent. But Lazy and it caught up to him senior year when he felt into the deep end of the water barrier, hobbled off the track, and never ran again.
I have a picture of that on Facebook. It includes Wooten, Robson, Buckenmeyer, Yerkes(??? from Kutztown) Dave D from Clarion, Sperry, and Trill himself.
And that picture does make me cooler!
couple of nice 5K's from the Rock in NC this weekend.
I completely forgot to specify that the picture is of the exact moment when Trill went down. All you see is a lot of butt, water splashing everywhere and 5 dudes trying not to land on his face.
Message: "All you see is a lot of butt, water splashing everywhere and 5 dudes trying not to land on his face."
The song, 'Teenage enema nurse' comes to mind when I read that.
Sounds like a post PSAC championship party.
Congrats to Sean Strauman for returning from injury to run a 1:51.53 @ CMU this weekend! Also, congrats to Weiss and Reagan for their sick 5k's at the Raleigh Relays.
2000th post.

He does hold the national record for largest margin of victory at the national meet in any division. He won by just over one minute...that is pretty amazing.
What event?
