Whoa, when did I make you guys look second class? I said I don't think any teams besides Rock and Edinboro dominated xc. I said I don't think any teams will dominate the distance events indoors. Yeah, I talked about some random goof stories that we did in college. I seriously think something was taken WAY out of context on here. I'm not sure how this has come off to be honest. I went back and looked at some of my postings, and I'm still a little confused to be honest.
I'll say this though: when I was running (along with now) I had very high respect for the people I raced against. Never was a PSAC champion. Even if I was, I still don't think I'd have the right to rip on anyone (which I don't think I did, but to the Ship guys, my appologies. It certainly has come off as me doing so.)
If you want a story: I still remember both Somers and Hansloven blowing by me my junior year of xc regionals at Haven in the last 400m. I wasn't pissed, either. We did shake hands, if you remember. I gave it all I had that race, and despite being passed, was happy with how I performed. To be honest, I was thrilled to be in the top 15 and get All-Region. I had never done that before, and I never have disrespected a competitor. On these boards, however, it seems that I have. Again, my appologies.
I'll tell you that I will take blame for anything I've done. Obviously some things I have written have come off very terribly. It was never my intensions. If I wanted to, I'd just do a simple, "you suck." I'm not like that, though.
I truly never meant to make it sound like anyone was second rate or second class, below par or whatever. I just had a difference of opinion with the word 'dominate.' Now I'm just playing semantics, though.
I love my school. It takes a lot to believe in something. I believe that school can do some awesome things. However, I never lost respect for anyone. Again, sorry I made it sound like you were 2nd class.
To anyone at Mansfield, I'm sorry it has come to this. I feel terrible.
