I remember that race...it was up at Reggie Lewis. That was the year that the Division II 5000 was faster than the Division I championship...Carney got 4th behind Aish, Rugema & somebody else.

It was Jim Shine, also from Western (like Aish) who finished third. Aish won it in 13:48, if I recall...with Reguma like a second back. In all, 4 guys 14:00 or under. Hoovis

Jorge:
if you're out there man, please drop me a line. Have been trying to get a hold of you on FB.

The other week I was on a long run with Bluman and some others from SRU and I found what I consider to be the best "find" anyone could possibly ever find while running. So there we were, about 6 miles away from Slippery Rock on some old back roads. I'm just looking around scanning everything for no reason at all. I see a box to my left in a field with boobs on it. Sweet! So I stop and turn around. Turns out the box was filled and taped. So I open the box and to my surprise what's inside was still in the original plastic bag. Any guesses? It turned out to be a candy bra constructed of the same type of candy used to make candy necklaces. I hauled that baby the whole way back to Slippery Rock. It's unfortuante I had to leave town because of how good I was told Wags wore the bra.
Not to mention, the week before I found 10 bucks on an easy 10 miler. It was a great week for finding stuff. Can anyone top that?
Mansfield, you guys ran 10:01 and I was pumped when SRU ran 10:19 or whatever with Weiss as our mile leg. Just run your best. It's hard to turn a program around overnite so give it time. You guys are doing well.
Clark,
Why didn't you lean man? You could've ran 13:56 and change! That would've been sweet. jk Nice run man. Glad to see all that work you're doing is paying off. I'm still working on the blue one for you.
Jorge,
Good to see ya for a bit last weekend. You need to shave.
A few years ago when Slippery Rock hosted outdoor PSACs we were driving a van around town looking for food. Luckily, there was a coaches meeting going on; so there was only myself and a handful of other people in the 15 passenger van.
We found out it was garbage day in the Rock, and this one stop we ended up getting:
A bush trimmer
A Commodore 64
An old Schwin bike with a bike rack
A huge old tv
The thing was, we didn't know we had to pick up the coach from ESU, Kosch, along with our coach.
So, Kosch gets in the front, and between the two front seats is this huge tv, and he looks at it, then looks to the back of the van with this 'what the...?!?!' look on his face. It was pretty funny.
Wasn't quite a run, but running related. Good stuff.
Interesting...I once found a $50 bill while running on Wolf Creek. Morale of the story: Slippery Rock is the best school in the PSAC in terms of "finding cool things while running." Hoovis

That is just Weird! Mansfield U. is known for being The loser Ville of the PSAC, no matter how good you think they are.
So how's the Trip coming along wooten? you in Alaska yet?
i found an unopened beer on a run a couple of weeks ago with gaudet and stopped and chugged it in the middle of philadelphia street. The best part is that it was still chilled from the cold air.
I once found this girl I had talked to on myspace at a Slippery Rock meet. Wound up talking at the meet and she came to watch outdoor PSACS, came back to the Haven and "hung out". Never talked to her again I don't think.
But the Josh Wooten van, that is indeed classic. Had the pleasure of riding around in it back in Mansfield at outdoor PSACs. Didn't pick up any women like we wanted to. It was either my fault, or the special guest for the weekend, Mark Stallings. I think we saw Koch eating in Dunkin Donuts at like 11 at night before the meet. Someone found Vanessa Andes phone and I think the put my number in it. I got a text from her when I got it back. I felt like I was the man for that brief moment. Then reality hit me, I was Jeff Skwierz..whatever
Jorge,
I gave into fast food since we talked. Yup, the diseased part of the female anatomy analogy didn't work. Oh well. I thought getting lapped by 2 Dickinson kids at Susquehanna would help as well, but I guess I'm a lost cause. Do the opposite of me and run well guys!

Man, just keep antagonizing the Mansfield guys. Just fuel their fire some more. If you don’t think they are out to prove something then you don’t know them at all.
Haha, Very nice you retards act like you can challenge Texas in a DMR by saying, just fuel their fire some more? Sorry, Face it, MANSFILED U is loserville of all colleges across the us. Sorry But your fire just want out!
Go BU
Hoovis-Sorry about that man. I have not been on for a while but I will email you now. Take care.
Dirt- WTF man? I want to see you break 15 so think about what I said.
Jake-Good seeing you too bud. I will see you in Delaware soon.
so dirt, you have to let us in. did you have sexual relations with this myspace girl? did you two knock boots? do the dirty? did she get some jeff skwierz man juice? maybe a little bucking bronco?
maybe the reason you are running so slowly is because you picked up a vd from this skank. just a thought.
always wear a hat when sticking your penis into a vagina boys. words that pertain to all instances in life.
in response to the fueling of mansfields fire:
like they proved something with their mind blowing performances at PSACs and Regionals?
oh one more thing: test ryan moravec... blood doping cough cough.
I found a dead bear in ship 2 years ago, is that kewl?
Ask me on Im or email. I'll be happy to discuss it with you on there. I choose not to discuss any details of intimate relations on the PSAC message boards. But maybe you're right, that's why I'm running slow. Considering I did some longer tempo runs not much slower than the pace I ran at Susquehanna, maybe it is just a lack of faster speed work.
Yeah yeah, Ryan Moravec, Mansfield. You haters suck. Give these people credit for what they're out they're earning by working their asses off and quit talking crap on everyone. Anymore someone PR's and you're like oh, they're on EPO or a drug doper. Quit watchin so much tv and listening to the media. To Mansfield, Moravec, Chris Clark and everyone else having a solid season, great job, keep it up. Looking forward to an excellent PSAC indoor meet.
And yeah Jorge, I do need to run a strong 5k to have a solid 10k. I guess that's how it works, haha.
nice name 'crab cake primaries' but i prefer alliteration
haha, WTF Mind blowing performance at Psac's and Regionals you have to be kidding me. Get a life Mansfield Sucks and always will, the coach sucks, the town sucks, and they think they are good? did i add any fuel to your fire? haha WHAT LOSERS.
Dirt, Mansfield Sucks, and you know it. Why hold in the feelings if you know they are true? Or is it that you have the hott's for the race walking dorks ?
