That video doesn't compare to "Ride or Die", or even Josh Wooten/Jon Holtz's Mansfield documentary from a few years back.
So if you ever make an XC film again, get in touch with The Rock and ask for Wagz, he'll let you know how its done I'm sure.

Mr. Sitler, what you've just showed is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever seen. At no point in your rambling, incoherent footage were you even close to anything that could be considered of any quality. Everyone that has viewed this video is now dumber for having watched it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Seriously.
ok, a simple 'wrong' would have done just fine but whatever...
Thanks for the criticism, that wasnt the real video I made btw. Im putting a bunch out to see how they do. The team vid I made is much better but too long for the competition. Im doing this for the video competition to get tickets. There are more I am making, since youve already criticized me maybe you can provide some insight knowing I want the video under 10 mins. 1) Should I not have the stupid fun stuff at the end
2) was the race footage good in the video and how was the music.
3) for the next vid i plan on taking out the funny stuff and putting in dif. music is this a good idea. Thanks MR. Sitler
If you want a copy of the Mansfield stuff, I could probably send you one (but it is indoor track and not xc).
Sitler you should be putting more focus on turkey droppings and glass making instead of making videos, that is where your true talent lives inside you. Another thing how about those penguins? can we not get a break? on a side note can you pick up some tissues and tp?
Happy Easter and dandraws great
oh yeah!
How dare you make a video that is not tv quality!! This is the PSAC for christ sakes, you're making us all look bad. how dare a non video making major person make a bad video! Next time realize that this is life or death and don't mess things up, you just ruined everybodies day. They should post the videos they made so we can know how much better they are at making videos then you! JEESH
don't expect to earn tickets to beijing with that video. i don't care how many people you tell to vote for that video, you still won't get enough people to win your tickets, sorry, it just won't cut it. the footage really isn't that good...out of focus, and somewhat boring, you could mix it up with the music a bit. the "stupid fun stuff at the end" was pretty much the worst part of the video. although you and your ship boys may have found it amusing, for the rest of the psac, we really could care less, much less, don't wanna know what you guys do in your dorm rooms, whatever it may be...to each their own.
i love our conference, but don't get your hopes up. winning the flocast contest for best video probably won't have anything to do with your video, they're just not that good. i enjoy them because they showcase our conference, but are they the best on flocast? No. Have to agree with BigBear on this one, comparable to drinking a case of Natty. Also I might add, this video is definitely not as fun as barricading someone in the bathroom with a mattress and a case of High Life.
speaking of good times, we need to organize a psac gathering. everyone. edinboro included. the western boys (and gals for that matter even though i've never met them) are good in my book and should take part in festivities. let's get on this. PSAC what what!!
wow you guys are a**holes, the video wasn't that bad, of course someone from another team might not like it because it doesn't focus on you but whatever, get over it, im sure all of his teammates enjoyed and it and appreciated it
"Also I might add, this video is definitely not as fun as barricading someone in the bathroom with a mattress and a case of High Life."
Tommy you are freaking hilarious.
As far as the party is concerned I'm thinking the week after Indoor champs. You are all welcome to come out to the "I" for the weekend. But if someone else really wants to host I'll drive wherever and take as many people as I can fit in the swamp thing.
Jon Holtz is a Douche!
Sorry I didnt realize the video would be this big of a deal, but hey thanks for the support, next time I throw a short video togther real quick, Ill spend a couple G's on better video quality, crew, and production. Well anyway sorry it sucked.......
Dirt.
Were you aware that our inspirations (Bluman and I actually made the video, though Wags (with an "S") is the best narrater alive) came from an old SRU XC video made by Seth Jenny. He used to run for the Rock. I believe his highest achievement was a 6th place finish in the 5K outdoor in 2000 or 2001, not sure. Anyway, the video is incredible. It documents the season as they go from race to race. It makes it more special that Roch Furguiele was the team captain that season. I'm not claiming that I knew him that well, but I did spend some time with him on a few runs in Alaska and he is an awesome person to be around. I borrowed Jon Sheffield's video (yes, the Jon Sheffield that lost to Wags with a broken leg at PSACs) and made a copy of it. I have it sitting on the top of my collection. It's titled, The Lonely Breed. That my friends, is one of the few running videos that tops Ride or Die.
One of the star cast members of The Lonely Breed actually criticized us by saying that we merely copied all the ideas from the original version into Ride or Die. We did a lot of original stuff, but we just wanted it to be obvious that our inspirations came from The Lonely Breed.
...though there is word of a 2007 video. dibs!
Never heard of the original. Ride or Die sits in my dvd collection though. Quite proud to own it as well. Can't find anything like that in the stores or on Ebay. I remember the old school Rock runners. I was just a freshman/sophomore then, and like Wags a year later, I was able to defeat Jon Sheffield in the 1500 at PSACs. Roch Furguiele, I'm pretty sure passed away in an unfortunate diving accident a few summer ago. But those are awesome ways to remember the glory days by, makes me sad the Haven never did a video when I was there. Would have been classic in 2004. Still have an LHU team picture next to my desk. Thanks for the memories.
Regionals feels like so long ago, I gotta hang out with some PSAC folk soon...
Running inside of a 200 meters track everyday for 2 weeks about 10 miles a day ... is it bad for you?? The pace would be like 6:50's
Not if you remember to change direction every 7/4 laps to protect your hips, but everyone knows that so I'm sure you already did too. It's not really that uncommon for people to run that much indoors. I remember when I was training for the indoor marathon back in the late 60's thats what we did year round.
i did it once when i was at pitt, i never changed lanes. no injuries. the people playing volleyball must of thought i was nuts. toughest thing was counting laps. good luck if you try it.
I did it at LHU once with Cowan during an ice storm. Ran like 13 miles in the rec center, 100 and some laps. I ran in the same direction the whole time. Cowan kept switching directions and was pissing other people who were in there jogging or walking around.
Another thing is when we used to get yelled at for spitting on the track and almost kicked out of the rec, but the girl who was gonna do it hooked up with an old roommate and I think liked me, haha
And yes, I'd rather do a self supervised workout in the rec rather than repeats around the ghetto of Lock Haven..just my opinion
The classic days..
To all Jackarses who have run dozens of laps indoors, man up, buy a pair of Yaktrax, and hit the road. But remember, always keep your game tight.
Teepee, this certainly goes for you too, you have a yaktrax supplier right near you with an abundant supply.
You couldn't even let a 4 hour trip to St. Mary'sville stop you from posting on this dumb thread. Talk about dedication!! Hopefully you're on the road now and can't read this till much later. The sad thing is, I have seen Crawl more over break then I've seen you, and trust me, thats not a good thing. He told me today, "I think I can beat Tommy in a 3000, but not a 5000." Thats pretty bold if you ask me.
"Do work son!"
Ok, who's letting this post die to like the 7th page on the forums? It's the holidays and all, but are you guys backing off your training? Didn't think so. So keep posting, and have a Happy New Year. My track 10k debut is coming up, get in shape because you really don't want to lose to Dirt.
lets get this thread to the front page!!! What is everybody doing this winter to get better for outdoors?? Hope to hear some replies from this thread soon. Happy New Year everybody!!!!
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
