If this is true, dropping indoor for Title IX would mean that only the men's team is dropped, therefore women will still be competeing. That should keep the conference track meet at ESU.

no pinto... no problemo
that track sucks any way, when is PSAC school gona build a nice indoor track?
if we could run our championship meet at bucknell would poop a kitten.
this is a false statement esu men team is going to compete
people on this board always make stuff up.
i figured it was a lie
I have heard through rumors that Edinboro is building an indoor track. I have no clue on any specifics, i just heard that rumor and it probably is not true.
where is everyone competing this weekend?
Here are some things I would like to see this indoor/outdoor track season.
1. Weiss, Blood, Bluman, Niemira all run the 10k at outdoor nationals. Reagan and Arthur too, unless they want to focus on the 5k. Clark if he is not redshirting...but I believe he is.
1a. Weiss run the 5k also at nationals, I have no idea why he did not last season.
2. Strauman from IUP actually RACE the first 400 of the 800 at the national meet. I thought he could have been outdoor national champ last year if he was not DFL through 400. Nobody has a kick like his, he just need to get himself in positon to use it.
3. Cummings, Spidell, and Pinto fight for AA honors in the 1500, and to see a great 1500m race at outdoor PSAC like we had last year.
4. I would also like to see who will be top in the Steeple this season, with Robson and Hansloven gone the championship is wide open I think.
Mark Morelli conference steeplechase champion 2008! You heard it here first psac.
It's actually going to be Tony (Anthony) Morelli winning the steeple this year. NFL scouts want him to show that he has other athletic abilities so he is transfering to the rock where he will live with Mark at the cross house and train for the steeple along side Mark.
****This is 100 % true*****
Mark is gonna be beast this year thats for sure, but you have two others that you completely left out...
Boston from IUP has a chance to do some damage (this depends on how much he trains, if you don't believe me look up results prior to his IUP career)
and there is no way in hell that AP from WCU is not gonna put up a fight this year, I'm sure he's looking for revenge from last year's conference meet, the most dangerous runner is a motivated one.
Have to go, something smells in my room and I think it might be me.
AP will be a force, but only if he trains under the expert tutelage of the once great Bob Rimkis, US Chiropractor of the year 1993-1997, and 1999.
does wooten have track eligibility left? he'd contend in the steeple if he does.

That is the year the Buckenmeyer brags about winning the steeple...that had to have been the weakest PSAC steeple in the last 5 years! It was after Ansberry from Edinboro won it and went on to be an All-American and before Robson showed any promise in that event.
a win's a win, and he's a good guy in my book.
Well it is on this weekend, I could clinch a playoff spot in fantasy football by beating Buckenmeyer. Hansloven and Billy already clinched the playoffs. Shawn Clancy sits 3rd, myself in 4th with Ricky Fever right behind. Joe Wiegner sits at 0-11 for the season as the married life doesn't allow him time to make roster moves.
Kolby Smith??
Late season pickup of the year.
Yeah never should've paid LJ all that money, KC!
Anyway, next year more PSAC alums need to get into the league
Did anyone heard the rumor that Strauman of IUP ran a 4:10.2 mile time trial Tuesday by himself? I think he is running at Bucknell this weekend but not sure what.
yeah.... and esu is cutting their indoor program and edinboro guys got suspended and michael vick is coming to cheney to run the 10k
Wooten does not have any track left.
The rumor about Edinboro getting an indoor track is completely true, it's going to be 400 meters, and under one of those big bubble things.
400 Meters...now that is an untrue rumor. That would cost way to much money, and would not fit NCAA indoor track regulations. If the PSAC were to have the conference track meet on an indoor 400 meter track and someone were to run a qualifying time to indoor nationals it would not count because the track is to large. If they do make a 400 meter track it is a waste of money.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
