1) will mountain win? heard he dicked around again
2) will either ship or haven be top 5?

I don't think Mountain wins. For all the "dicking around" he did Sutton almost ran him down. Seems pointless. Isn't Jonnie Guy still out there? He's pretty damn good.
If ship can throw down like regionals they have a great shot at top 8 at the very least. Joplin is a flast fast course so results would be similar. Haven looked unstoppable at PSACs and Paul Short a similar performance at Nationals would bring a top finish.
However, we've seen time and time again PSAC teams with lots of talent go to NCAA and get outclassed. They got lost in the shuffle and don't produce a result. Hopefully these two teams can piece it together. It's helped to have that 3rd bid. These two teams have been to nationals a few times now and made it with relative ease. Instead of having 3 top 15 teams smash heads for 2 nationals spots like in previous years and have to lay down the best performance at Regionals. These teams go to regionals with a little breathing room now. You can start your season knowing you can plan for nationals. It's positive. Hopefully it helps produce a better finish for 2 really great teams.
ran him down? you are joking. I heard him exchange a full conversation with his coach telling him to maintain the gap and not let them get too close. it's seems perfectly logical to beat a group of inferior runners using as little energy as you can before an NCAA national championship so I'm not sure what is pointless. Besides sutton isn't a bum anyway, so even if he did "almost run him down" I'd still be impressed, but mountain didn't look the slightest bit tired at any point.
ship performed great, haven performed great. lets not count one out because they just had 6 more points than the other in a dual meet. both are capable of better than top 8. I agree with you in the past the PSAC has been outclassed, but tell me the last time it had two teams that have 5 sub 25 minute runners each?
Besides didn't Burleigh "almost run down" dinzeo last year?
Maybe 2010? Ship put 6 guys under 25 @ Louisville that year, finished 7th. Haven had Monroe, Hilton, Getz, Zondlo, Miller, and A.J. Johnson. I believe they all run sub 25 in their careers, but not in one race that season. That team was 11th.
Edinboro also had 2-3 sub 25 guys that year. But the region only had two bids, the NCAA hadn't expanded championship fields yet, and they were left at home as one of the 15 best teams in DII.
What Ship and Haven did @ regionals, and at Cooper's lake is fantastic. Hopefully they have something in the tank for nationals.
Although that year both those teams lacked a front runner. I'm not sure Miller and Johnson ever ran under 25, even getz for that matter.
I'm comparing both these teams to that ship team that didn't exactly over perform at nats and was 7th, they were superior to haven that year although they lost regionals (which doesn't matter)
But if ship had a contender individual that year it would've been scary good.
You may be correct, I am sure they all ran under 14:40 on the track, so I just believed at some point in their careers they went under 25 on their home course.
Will either team go top 8? It seems Haven's top guys have been struggling more so than usual at this point. Mostly Robinson maybe they trained through regionals a little bit to really get after it at nats?
Ship really put it together at regionals but do they have what it takes to go top 8? Comparing their times is pretty useless as haven's course is faster than a track.
What about for the women? How well does the edinboro girl do? How many women can go AA?
hardly faster than a track. haven and ship both will be top 8. boom.
Hopefully they just didn't really care about regionals.
BECAUSE REGIONALS DOESN'T MATTER!
For goodness sake you guys complain they don't do well at nationals, but then put all this stock in them not worried about performing at regionals.
The attitude that regionals matters is the problem. Because it doesn't for teams and individuals that can be certain they are going to nats. If you are not certain then by all means run that race like it's your last because it might be. For the sake of ship and haven this year that is idiotic to waste your energy and training.
Where will the foreigner bought by Hammer place at nationals?
Bought? I think it's called recruiting. And with very limited resources, I call that very good recruiting.
Watts always got trash talked back in the day as well as his teams. Good to see Hammer getting the same treatment. Means he must be making some people worried that he's got the Boro moving in the right direction.

Hardly faster is still faster
It's sarcasm, idiot. Meaning that it is not faster than a track. It's grass, and had bad footing for a cross country course. A track is rubber with minimal resistance.
Now aside from it being slower than a track it was a rather windy day, that still produced times faster than previous generations. Deal with it, they are better than you.
Why can't we all just get along guys😓? It's about the kids for heaven sake. I just hope all three teams and 3 individuals give it their best effort. That's all that matters.

Wow you've clearly never run there if you think its bad footing and slower than a track. It's all good though I know I'm still better than you. :)
Yeah, well I'm better than you. Pick on me.

Ship showed up!! Don't like them but 5th is extremely good! 4 teams go now!!
Lock haven should stay home during regionals. Give another team that will run with some heart a chance. Is he peaking those guys for regionals, my god.
