From my perspective I couldn't have been happier for Mike and Brayden. Ship and Mansfield have had a long tradition of success at NCAA in the Mid Distance. I knew when Brayden jumped and had clear track he would be hard to catch. It happened in a spot and time that Mike couldn't see him make the move. When he realized he made his final move. Mike and I planned for him to be near the front at 1200, cover any move to 180 and then close. Mike missed by a bit on his position at 1200 but then did everything else right. His last 400 was 56.5. We tried to give Mike the best plan for him as I am sure Brayden had the best plan for him. When Mike and I drove down we talked about what might happen in the race and I told Mike that Brayden was better then some were giving him credit for. I knew how hard he closed at PSAC's and told Mike I was pretty certain he would be AA. So now it is time to get ready for outdoors and we here wish everyone the best of luck. And for what it is worth Brayden was just about the happiest National Champion I have ever seen!
