so what youre saying is that there is noone else on that team that can make up a dmr that can get them to nats?

Nah a bunch of 1:52 guys and sub 4:10 milers have no chance. Hahaha Love the PSAC thread sometimes.
Just to make sure, Ship had three guys break 26 this year in cross country. Burleigh's season best of 25:25 for 8k was solid when compared to his freshman PR of 23:54. So for Burleigh to be in that 4:07 shape, he just needs to shave 1 minute and 29 seconds off his 8k from xc season. Not bad right? I do not see Burleigh going under 4:10.
Ships other Miler, Spangler, did not even qualify for Ship's regional team. Call him a middle distance guy or what have you, but that doesn't take away from the fact that he really underperformed in cross. I expect him to turn it around for track, but with the amount of catching up he has to do, he is a 4:12 guy indoors on his best day. His opener will be 4:21 (you heard it here first).
T. Kehl is a wildcard, he could run fast (4:10) or he could run slow (4:28) or he may not run at all.
Whoever said it before about Dreman's outlook summed it up.
The true wild card, and most improved athlete in Cross was the Englishman (St. Bernard). He was consistent and I think he is capable of running 4:12 - and on a regular basis.
Maybe I am missing some high caliber studs who skipped cross to drink and smoke. But I see no consistency and no guarantee of national caliber team. If they want it, they will have to earn - and prove a lot of people wrong.
Nick Gibson, watch out
mike robinson from Mansfield just ran 2:26.51, over two seconds faster than ANYONE from the psac has ever run. ya'll wanna talk about something how about you talk about that
oh for 1000m btw
Yea that's a good time but who really care about the 1k. Don't get me wrong mike rob is good but nobody really runs the 1k bc it doesn't matter
The only thing worth talking about is the drama on the SHIP. Who's Mansfield?
So he is in 1:53 and 4:11 shape.... Yawn.....
So... it is more interesting to talk about negative non sense then it is to about positive performances? Typical of modern cultural - talk about the sensational and scandalous and ignore positive achievements.
I didn't say anything about Ship.
I've never been academically "eligable" either :/
How come there's no talk about how Andrew Morgan from IUP ran 8:26 without actually being in the race

Because Monroe will win everything anyway
So far this early in the season a few things I have seen:
Mansfield's Mike Robinson has to be the favorite for the 800/Mile whichever he chooses to focus on.
LH's Monroe opened up after winter break with a sub par mile. This should be his 3k pace not mile so hopefully this was just a workout and not an indicator of poor form.
No real dominate factor in the women's 800/mile to really mention. The mens race in the mile is also weak looking and nobody has really run a 5k yet except for some guys just going for the qualifier. Still a lot of races to be run.
IUP's 8:26 runner is one of the faster times ran in the conference over the past few years. Its really fast when you look at his mile PR of 4:26 last year and 4:11 outdoor 1500. He may be the most improved in the PSAC.
Mansfield's 3k girls ran well and if they get under 10 min for the 3k they could go 1-2 at PSAC's
Looks like Ship's men is still the favorite for the team title but the women appear to be weaker.
Considering the IUP kid didn't actually run the race and somebody else did and he got credited for the time. But Monroe should have a fairly easy time winning the both 3 and 5k. If mike rob can stay healthy then he should be able to win either the 8 or mile
it looks like ship, mansfield, kutztown and lock haven are all set to throw down in a DMR tomorrow night at bucknell. should be a wild race
Ship is running at penn st
That would seem ill advised considering the time penalty from a banked track.
That's the way she goes boys.. Better competition at Penn State may be worth the time penalty.
