Lock Haven is going to run better at Regionals, they always do. The question is how much better, it could be possible for them to pull out a win. I also expect Boro to perform better, they had some consistant top 7 guys run poorly at conference.
I am not familiar with ESU's track record as to if they perform better at regionals compared to PSAC's. But I don't think Ship can move up enough to grab a 3rd spot, but I can also see myself being proven wrong.
I predict:
1. Boro
2. LHU
3. ESU
4. Ship
Every word you said was truth. Except the ones you left out about SRU and IUP beating a certain number 5 PSAC team at Regionals.
Heard this will be playing at the Haven in a week.
Who will be the top individuals if ESU, Haven, and Boro make it to nats as a team? I know they added an extra bid to the region, did they add any individual spots?
I would say that Matt Gillette is an easy favorite due to his consistant performances but is there any individuals from outside the conference that could make it?
Stewart Jones from Wheeling Jesuit. He is an 8:55 all-american steeplchaser and was one place from an individual spot last year.

If only this was longer...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O71KtMuYjrw&feature=relatedword is Zondlo will be back for the big race and a certain Scott will also be back in action. I suspect they'll both be a little rusty but still this should stir things up.
Anderson is far from rusty, the rest of the psac is in even more trouble then they were before boro got him back. So much for redshirting

This shite is hilarious!
Scott Anderson isn't running. He is not even on their roster. If they had him that would have prob made them a top 5 team in the nation

I agree, I totally shows no love for SRU and IUP. Either of them and Ship could take the 4 spot, I think Ship will get it done though. Only reason I didn't mention them is because I had to cut off my post somewhere, and i thought discussing anything after 4th place is pretty pointless.
With all this rain how is lock haven's course going to hold up?
Heard it is flooded and they are cancelling Regionals this year...just taking the top three teams from PSACs and the other conferences from the region with combined team scores from their conference meet.
Regionals is not cancelled. Here is an update I found online.

Lock Haven, PA
The 2012 Men's and Women's NCAA Atlantic Regional Cross Country Championships originally scheduled to be run at Lock Haven University on Saturday, November 3rd has been relocated. The remnants of hurricane Sandy dropped large amounts of rain across the northeast, causing significant flooding and rise in river levels. The Susquehanna River at Lock Haven is expected to crest Thursday at 11.96 feet. The river level is expected to hold constant at 10-11 feet through the weekend, 3 feet higher than the flood plain that Lock Haven's course is located on.
Saturday's race has been relocated to Slippery Rock at the Coopers Lake Campground. Coopers Lake was the site of last week's Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships. Representatives from the Atlantic Region believe the change in venue will provide athletes and spectators alike with the best conditions possible leading up to the much anticipated 2012 NCAA Championships.
The conference meet held last week provided a glimpse of what we can expect this weekend at Coopers Lake. Three teams from both the men’s and women’s side will be competing for their ticket to Joplin, MO for the 2012 NCAA Championships on November 17th. On the women's side Shippensburg, Edinboro and Indiana University of Pennsylvania are all strong favorites to make the trip. For the men, Edinboro and East Stroudsburg have shown their dominance; the third spot will likely be battled out between Lock Haven and Slippery Rock University.
And where can this be found?[quote]run4AUandAG wrote:
I’m starting to get inquiries as to the impact of SANDY on Lock Haven’s course, so I thought I’d send a quick update out to everyone.
We experienced a few inches of rain, and some heavy winds. With that said, the course has held up pretty well.
We picked up a few branches this morning, and there are a couple places with a bit of water on them, but we’ll be doing our best to get that cleared up as best we can by Friday.
Until then, know that we will be doing everything we can to have the course ready to roll for the weekend.
Safe travels everyone!

whheeew... That makes me feel better. I was really hoping not to make a trip to SRU this weekend.
It makes sense though, LHU is known for running fast on flat courses. I couldnt believe they would ever be game for going to SRU.
