Ship's DMR time was an All-Time PSAC record.
Solid.

Solid.
It was a good day for the PSAC at New Balance over all and at Penn State
LHU Hilton 4:13 and 8:22
JOhnson 8:27
Zondlo 8:33
and Boyer ran well for ship to
Mac Nab and Plazenski 4:17 and 4:14
good week of racing put together
I love it, the conference is picking up pace right in time to set up some epic races at PSACS!!
What do you think will be the best race? There are currently 3 pretty fast DMRs out there, and the returning champions haven't even raced it yet (Mansfield) and have some fast individual performances. Will Ship throw their A-Team in and win it, or is it up for grabs between LHU, ESU, and Mansfield?
The 800 should be interesting. A relative unknown is sitting in first (who is that kid??), but the big dogs in the conference are lurking close behind and there's some newbies who could make a difference. Look for Jewel and Smith to battle out the race for the win. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see Jamieson throw his name in there (he was 2nd in 2009 in indoor) along with Saparito, and my surprise sits with either Costello from IUP (a 1:53. high school runner) or Rosario from LHU.
The mile should be fast and exciting.. Plaszenski and Hilton are obviously the top dogs in the race, but there have been strong showings from those guys from Ship (Gilette and Schelander),Keller from IUP, McBride from Millersville, and MacNabb from Mansfield. Should be an insane race, coming down to a kick. I'd look for some national qualifying times in this one.
The 3k is looking like it will be the same old. A battle at the front between a pack of LHU and Ship guys. Hilton, Zondlo, Johnson, and Getz from LHU have put up some big times, and Stetler and Boyer from Ship look like they're both in some monster shape right now. My spoiler in this one is Dinzeo from Cal.. he's been doubling in all of his meets and put up a pretty decent time on a very slow WVU track. Look for McBride from Millersville in this one, too.. he seems like he could be pretty dangerous in whatever he runs.
The 5k is similar to the 3k. Beegle is obviously the clear favorite at the time, and Stetler and Gillete from Ship seem like they're primed to run a good 5k. Johnson, Zondlo, and Miller, and Getz from LHU aren't going to go down without a fight, and there's a few others who could be dangerous: again, including McBride from Millersville and Dinzeo from Cal. My spoiler could be the unproven new Kenyan from IUP, Rono. With that last name, it's hard to go wrong.
Anybody else have some input?
the kid in first in the 800 is no unknown. Steve Wainwright is a legend....he's been drinkin beers and fighting queers all winter in preparation for PSAC's. expect some magic from this stud. his cock is easily twice as long as Kevin Jewel's
Looks like AJ Johnson from the Haven is rounding nicely back into shape after a sub-par cross season. 8:27 in the 3k at PSU is really solid, look out for him in that 5k, you know he's going to take it out quick, will anyone have the balls to hang on? It's doubtful Beegle will be in the 5k after his 4:06 DMR split, I'd imagine he'd be going after the mile and Hilton/Bud. If he's not I would say the 5k could get pretty exciting, that race is up for grabs at this point.
Looks like Mansfield and Kutztown mixed it up in the DMR at the BU Valentine Invite:
Mansfield ran an impressive 9:59.6 - heard splits were around 3:02, 49.x, 1:55, and 4:11. Doesn't surprise me to see this with the season MacNabb and Plaszenski have been having.
Kutztown ran a speedy 10:08, I can't say I saw that one coming! Looks like the DMR is shaping up to be a hell of a race at Edinboro in 2 weeks..
Looks like this weekend was da Haven's reply to the times ship has been running lately...

It doesn't look like Ship can put an A- team out there and win. LHU is definitely sitting with a solid team and could make a run for the spot at the NCAA meet. ESU and KU can run with the top 3 for three legs and then it is down to the real milers. I would love to see a Beagle/Hilton/Plasenski last mile DMR. Very interesting, no?
You are right, I doubt if ship will put a A squad DMR out there due to the fact that they will need them in the 5k or 4x800 legs later that same day. But, they will most likely still be able to run su 10:10 range. Mansfield and Haven would be my favorites for the title.
I think the best race of the day will go to the mens 3k due to the fact it may take a sub 8:20 to win and sub 8:30 to place top 8 which will be a spectacle to watch.
The mile may be the only distance event not dominated by ship and haven so the top 8 should be a mix of many teams.
5k is going to come down to havens top 3 vs ships top 3 and it can go any direction due to both teams having different race tactics.
I would talk about the womens predictions but everybody knows the results already.
Looks like jewel is coming back into form after some early season troubles. look for him to battle it out with smith, jamieson, and big bad steve wainwright.
Weeks of Kutztown and Saparito of ESU....both had success last outdoor.
This weekend has primed the PSAC meet for some epic races, I can't wait to watch!!
it's definitely gonna be a nail-biter! with this past week of action, the haven and ship are blow-for-blow in the distance points.
BUMP!
Let\'s hear those predictions and smack talk, people.. PSACs is a week away!
Bud Plaszenski
upset win in the Mile.
You heard it here first.
Have you looked at the performance list? I wouldn't exactly call it an "upset" if plazenski gets the W in the mile
I'm not so sure about Plazenski's chances in the mile. He's been racing hard ever since december, and there's a ton of more experienced racers sitting just behind him on the list that have only raced a few times.
Just heard from my friend from another school that the multi people will not be able to qualify for nationals because the lj pit is to low at boro. His coach contacted ncaa. Who is in charge of that since someone will be there to take pictures?
That would be unfair to the guys if the pit is really to low and they can not qualify. Conference coachs should get toether and make sure this does not happen.
people remember that beegle ran 4:06 for 1600, over 3 weeks ago right? That is head and shoulders above everyone else in the conference. If he wants to win that race, he wins it, hands down.

Well two that haven't are Plazsenski and Hilton. You don't think these guys do not respect each other enough to be aware of who does what? There are 3 different athletes from three different program philosophies yet all are successful. One thing they have in common is they are not posting on here!
The question is if you are right or wrong will you reveal your true identity? Eh Batman?
