To change gears a bit...here we are in early/mid June already talking about next year's cross season. When I recall this thread, I would guess that at least 2/3 of the posts are geared toward cross country, while the other 1/3 is geared toward track. There always seems to be more chatter and board participation in cross than track.
I'm curious, why do you think that is?
a.) Is the PSAC more of a cross country conference than a track one?
b.) Is it just more reflective of the interests of the letsrun message board (posters/visitors prefer cross vs. track)?
c.) Is it the whole team aspect -- For example, the distance runners from the Boro competing with the distance runners from Haven? There are no sprinters or hurdlers or throwers to get in the way -- it all gets settled in one race with everybody participating?
d.) Is it that cross country (in general) is just more exciting because one race (Regionals) determines who is/who isn't going to Nats.
e.) Other reasons?
Just curious what y'all think.
