Heard the Rock may also be picking up Rector for cross. He still has cross eligibility and will be around in the fall student teaching. Could be a threat.

Yeah right - he will have no Impact at all First he would need a real distance coach - look at SRU since the departure of Coach Weis And these boards are actually tame now that Geddis and Bluman are gone/

I think given the people Mansfield is bringing in, and the ones they currently have coming back they should be a pretty solid team this year. They may surprise some people.
I think Harp is out of eligiblity for SRU women. They may be a bit down this year unless they have a bunch of strong recruits. Kutztown women should be good though as it looks like most of their top 7 were not seniors last year and had strong track seasons. Probably SRU, Millersville and LHU in the mix after that.
Ship men should dominate at least on paper. What did they have like 12 guys under 15:25 this year during track. Are they even graduating anyone? Lock will be strong for runner up. Haven't seen Hahn in results this track season. If he is there Edinboro will give LHU a good run. Of course the boro always seems to find a way so you never know. Probably some separation to the next teams like ESU.
harpp has xc and indoor eligibility left.
Isn't Mansfield past the point of surprising people? There seems to always be one or two good athletes there. Not so surprising.

I prefer tame. Tired of the crap on this board. Need a summer break and most of you time to grow up. I'm hoping a team like a Mansfield, or a Millersville can make a move recruit some real XC runners and make a break into the elite top 3. That get's boring year after year.
rock women will do well next year. harpp is on fire and burnick michaelian and younger look to be strong again. ship will still be on top with their returners
Men or women?
The Ville is bringing in some talent. And Boyer has shown some good results as well as some strong 10k performances at outdoor. i think currently east stroud on the men's side is the only team who has shown enough pieces to make a run in the near future.
on the women's side the second spot will be a battle, but i will keep ship on top until someone beats them. it is hard to beat a team when they will score 5 points or less with their top 2.
Millersville, ESU, and Mansfield are getting better...but teams like Edinboro and their #8-10 guys are just as good as those schools #1 and #2 runners. Until that starts to change a little bit, then you can say those schools are starting to get there.
Despite being biased towards ship here is my take on the psac xc season. Looking at this years outdoor season i have to say that ship will be the top team this xc season. Beegle had a great double at psacs and shows they besides hilton he is one of the strongest runners. Stetler has also proven himself as a top contender for nexts years xc season. After those two, ships top five isnt so clear. Neyhart had a great track season but seems to only be a decent cross runner. gillete looked very solid outdoors but nothing breakthrough, i feel the same way about schelander. both will be a threat though, sitler also looked good this past track season being one of the few ship guys to post provisional marks, so i look to him to be a threat to the psac. I didnt see any psac results with edward buck, is he injured?? he ran really well indoors so i would imagine he could easily make ships top seven.
in second i will have to go with lock haven, if they can run like they do when theyre on top they are definitely. hilton is a stud and will be hard to be beat.... johnson, miller, getz are also great runners but seem to be shaky at times which could really hurt lock haven in championship races.
and finally we have edinboro...who knows what they have up their sleeve but im sure its nothing to look down on, should be a great season.
Don't forget Ethan Rissel who was 6th in the region last year and ran 31:40 and 15:06 this track season during an injury. Also Brandon Boyer for ship ran 31:30 this year in the 10k at PSAC's so ship has:
Beegle
Rissel
Schelander
Gillette
Stetler
Sitler
Boyer
Neyhart
There is 8 guys that could all be in the top 20 in the region on a bad day. Then they have a handful of 15:20's kind of guys that if they made a big jump could run with these guys.
I think its going to be like last year and someone is going to score 60 pts at regionals and not make nationals
I heard elder Spence tackled Rohl or something like that at Indoor Nats? What is up with that story?
So majority think that the top 3 men teams are Ship, Lock Haven, and Edinboro... Any dark horses? Teams on the rise?
I think ESU is on the rise. Except I have one serious question. What in the heck happened to Greg Laria in the 10k? He ran 30:50 something at Bucknell then got dropped like a bad habit at PSAC's off of a mediocre pace and then drops out of the race. How does a 30:50 guy tank THAT bad??? Did he not run a lap at Bucknell and that's why he ran so fast? His 5k PB is only 15:20's or something. Something doesn't make sense here. How does a 15:20 5k guy run 30:50? Is it really believable that he is going to run basically his 5k PB twice? I'm not buying it.
anyone who watched that race knows laria did not get lapped. perhaps he ran a qualifying time in the 5k and went all out in that 10k. he ran 30:50 that night. he went out with the fast pace in perfect conditions and ran what is to this point the race of his life.
