I actually thought Dell and Spence ran kind of slow in the 1500. Maybe they were just tired from the 4x800? Or purposely not going all-out?

The 4x800 was one of the last events Saturday afternoon. The 1500's were Friday night. Neely actually took a big fall at the beginning of that race and they had to call it back. Not sure how it affected her. She also tried make the bid for the win at 300 to go, right when the wind picked up dramatically.
My thoughts: she'll run faster.
looks like sru's rector's lost his edge. 1st losing to freshman jewel in Raleigh and saturday he ran 2:01 at the sru home meet.
I saw Chris Clark is entered in the Mt. Sac 5K. Any word on what kind of shape he's in?
13:42
probably worked to hard indoors, now he's just struggling to get through the rest of outdoor.

Has anyone else noticed that 7 PSAC girls have already provisionally qualified for nationals in the 10k (Jen Harp is the only one to auto)?
This seems even more impressive when you consider only 16 girls have qualified overall.
Is tommy pearson mounting a comeback? I heard he is re-enlisting at WCU. Recent performance include:
100 meters: 14.5
200 meters:26.8
400 hurdles: 64
800: 2:06
1500: 4:09
5000: 15:30
The only thing I see that may halt this miraculous comeback is the purchase of a new dog. I imagine this will get in the way of his copious amounts of television watching. He will constantly be cleaning the house, which has already started, even before the dog has been brought home. Best of luck to this fine KG member, you are going to need it.
How fast for Neeley? Her father/coach thought she was in killer shape indoors...can't wait to see this one.
How about Brenae? I know Brenae finished third at indoor nats, but it was a slow race. I think this could be a HUGE breakthrough race for her. Expect a good one.
Thoughts?

Neely could probably break 16 if all goes well. Although, I don't think she'll win. I'm calling the win for Jackie Areson of Tennessee. Brenae will probably dip into high 16's again which would be great. Possibly 16:30's.
I agree Neely won't win, her time from Bucknell in the 15 wasn't good at all. Anyone know what's wrong with her?
Were you at the Bucknell meet? If you were there, it's obvious why no one ran fast.
No, I wasn't. But why didn't she win? Seems a little weird for a multiple time national champ.
Wind was about mph in your face on back stretch. It was about 40 degrees at the time of the race as well. She also fell the first time they started, that probably shook her up a bit mentally. I'm not making excuses why she didn't win, just why it wasn't that fast. There were also more accomplished girls that beat her.
the women's 15 at Bucknell went out in 3:42 through the 1200, that's 4:56 1600m pace. for a bunch of sub 4:50 milers, they ran tactical. Ms. Spence took the lead into the wind and got blown by in the home stretch. That race was not a good indicator of anyone's fitness. period. Ms. Spence runs 15:52. Ms. Edwards needs to run an auto if she is going to make nationals again.

20 mph gusting up to 30*, is what I meant to say.
Some thoughts on the men....
Men's College 10K -- Nick Hilton from Haven was a beast. Great run for him. Has the guy ever even run a fast 10K on the track? Don't think so....and he ran sub-30. Awesome job. Getz' 30:46 was was solid too. But, Hilton looked unbeatable.
Men's College Steeple -- Beegle's 9:14 was solid. An improvement over the 9:21 he ran at Bucknell this year, but still slower than the 9:12's (if I remember) he ran twice at Bucknell in 2008. Haven's Miller ran 9;22 in the Championship race...should've been in the slow heat. Almost identical time to what he ran at Penn last year...but a good 10 secs+ faster than what he ran at Bucknell.
A few thougths on the women...
Women's College Steeple -- Mary Dell PR'd (I think) in the steeple. A 10:26 is very solid. Remember, this is a girl who was running the 200 just a few years ago when she was a frosh. She's very, very talented. Hope she keeps running after college...think she'll just keep getting better. Finishing 4th at Penn in this race is very good...pretty pressure packed with the "Squeegie crowd" screaming at you on each lap. Also, props to Clarissa Cummings from Mansfield. In the slow heat...could've easily gotten lost in the shuffle but I think she ran a huge PR. 20 second improvement over what she ran just a few weeks ago. She could finish the season strong.
Women's 5K -- Neeley 16:13...Brenae 16:43. Nothing else to say except for "as expected." In total, 5 PSAC girls under 18 minutes is good. Not great...but good.
Women's 10K -- Lambert's running just a tad over 36 is about what she did last year at Penn, so solid.
Overall, a good showing by the PSAC. Not the strongest and most depth I've ever seen, but certainly a good showing. Setting up nice for a great PSAC champs....especially on the ladies side.
Thoughts?
Hoovis
AJ Johnson and Nathan Zondlo of Lock Haven both running 14:35. Big PRs for those guys, from what I understand. There's some more depth for you!

Knew it. Did it.
i think that the race for the PSAC title is going to be closer on the men's side than the women's hoovis
